You missed my point. I was referring to your speculation that Kelly helps his QB's with pre-snap reads through the headset. His comment suggested that you might be right. I was giving evidence that supported your theory.
Sanchez has been part of teams that won 4 road playoff games. So unless the NFL starts awarding home playoff games to only "dreg" NFL teams, Chip kelly need not worry. However, you are welcome to send him over your statistical analysis.
Its really not much of a holy shit moment, all QB's have the same thing, just most QB's do a read after receiving the play. But the math is pretty simple, the play clock is 40 seconds, the Eagles with Sanchez average 1 play ever 23 seconds, technically 22.9. Kelly may have actually tipped this off in a video posted a couple of posts higher on him taking responsibility for an interception. Not saying its for sure but if you watch how little Sanchez is reading pre snap any time the ball is snapped with more than 15 seconds you kind of have to wonder how much he's actually reading, same went for Foles.
Here's another one: At 2:10 in this video Kelly is trying to warn Foles that the Giants are in zone defense, but Foles doesn't get the info. Maybe the headset had already cut out. The look on Kelly's face after Foles throws the interception is perfect. http://www.philadelphiaeagles.com/v...-Feature/c878b98c-b8e5-408e-9ee1-a802e0db46c7
of course in fairness the Designated defense play caller also receives calls from the sideline. I don't know if they still use the same system but I know you used to be able to tell who had the helmet radio on defense by a green dot on the helmet.
This is a point that's been driven in to the ground, he played one game where he was asked to do more than just hand the ball off. Let the running game and defense carry the load. I didn't say the Jets in 09 and 10 were bad teams. Remember wins and losses are a team stat, a player can only increase or decrease the teams chances of winning. It's no secret that those two years the Jets just asked Sanchez not to screw the pooch. Against the Patriots in 10 he had a hell of a game, the other games? handoff bot to keep him from turning the ball over....
\ Maybe it's all part of Kelly's master plan to have targeted Sanchez for him be a handoff bot if he's forced to play him. Else, he just not as smart as you.
No, that's silly but it might be why Sanchez has 8 turnovers in 4 games. Now you're just being snide. It's really absolutely no secret that the Jets just asked Sanchez not to screw the pooch and limited his ability to hurt the team, especially in 09. that's absolutely no secret.
You are the only one losing sleep about the TOs. There are others that look if he has command of the offense, is he smartly moving around in the pocket to by time, what is his ball placement, is he making the proper reads, going through his progressions…etc. If the answer to most of these questions are yes, then your QB will likely help you win more than you lose. At this point, I don't even know what your angle is anymore. Is it that Sanchez is turnover proned? If so, is that news?
How many teams with winning records has they beaten? How many teams that were in the top 10 in turnovers in a season had a winning record? made the playoffs? How many team that were in the top 10 in turnovers during the season and made the playoffs made it past the first round? Going back to 2012, I'll go back further but it takes time to research it out, but so far exactly 5 teams out of 30, either had a winning record or made the playoffs, only 2 made the playoffs, only one made it to the 2nd round, none made it out of the 2nd round. There is no better indicator for a team than turnovers, but it's only part of the picture. You can get away with turnovers playing bad teams, especially bad teams that turn the ball over even more. Now if they come out of this relatively tuff stretch in good shape we'll talk, but right now all I see is a team that turns the ball over A LOT and has been fortunate with a very soft schedule up to this point.
I think Jets fans who invested years convincing themselves Sanchez was the worst QB that ever lived and not worthy of starting in the NFL will lose more sleep if Sanchez continues to win and garner success.
That's the point, you keep turning the ball over the odds will catch up with you...so fare they've been hitting on 18 and coming up 21...sooner or later the odds catch up. Turnovers at the right the Eagles turn it over, and this was a problem before Sanchez, way too much and they're playing with fire that will eventually burn them.
LOL, they aren't beating any good teams with their quarterback continually turning the ball over. You can get away with that stuff against the Titans. But, the cupcakes are just about over. And btw, his coaches would probably still be losing sleep, because coaches are: A) obsessive by nature and B) smart enough to know that winning games with your quarterback consistently turning the ball over isn't sustainable.
Heh, I lose zero sleep, I wouldn't even be here if it wasn't for the thread title, he's shown that with elite weapons and RB's he can be average against sub 500 teams....color me impressed. Now if they come out of the next 5 games with a 3 and 2 or better record then I'll give kudos.
I think Sanchez fans who invested years convincing themselves that Sanchez was good despite his overt lack of individual production live in a fantasy world where professional football is somehow equivalent to singles Tennis.
