ok can someone catch me up,, hobbes is back? that wasnt him as jet4lyfah?

    i really am surprised.

i think many nfl fans are the typical meatheads or guys who never really played the sport and only watch it cause its what guys are supposed to do. thats where absurdity comes into play. there are far more of both of those types of fans than there are analytical, sensible, thoughtful fans.

Given your track record, that makes me the biggest Jet fan in the world. Unlike you, I am an actual Jet fan, not a Sanchez fan.

I had a typo in my previous comment, you should be banned for your asinine comment. You embarrass all Jet fans, football fans and human beings.

I'm not going to sink to your level of personal insults, and will put you on ignore - your childlike posts full of boy-love for Sanchez are predictable anyway!

First of all, "good riddance," not "good riddens."

Secondly, if you "cheered like a motherfucker" and are still "giddy," you are probably still a "giddy motherfucker."

Does that make you a stupid, giddy motherfucker? I'm not calling you that, mind you. But ask yourself that question!

Stupid I'm sure of. The other two, make your points.

I agree with Junc anyone that celebrates when someone gets injured is a complete tool. When they celebrate when a member of the team the supposedly root for goes down they should be bitched slapped.

After spending time browsing many Jets boards over the years, believe it or not, this one seems to have a much lower assclown quota than others.

For that I thank you folks.

You cheered for a guy when he was injured because you think you know what is best for a football team that we both know only really influences your life by it's effect on your emotional state.

Your posts are far more predictable and less worth reading.

Put me on ignore, too, you insect.

I'm no Sanchez fan. Can't stand him as our QB or the apologists that blame everything on everyone but him.

Hooooooowever, cheering for an injury? And to one of your own guys? That's straight up classless.

i havent seen it talked about, but i really felt like rex put sancho in at the end of the game to salt it away, geno had a bad day... sancho came in and scored and lead the team down the field... all done with the qb competition. i could almost see him wanting to show idzik as it happened.

I hope not but it does make sense. Either I will take Rex on what he said that it was his decision and as decisions go not a very smart one.

If that was the plan it was a bad plan because Sanchez is very capable of screwing up against anybody not to mention getting beat on some more if the OL sucked. The odds on him getting hurt and missing time were very low. How often has that happened in his 4+ year career?

I think it is more likely that Rex realized and has realized for awhile that he doesn't know who his QB is and he gave Sanchez a chance to make it clearer for him. Which of course didn't happen because none of the Jets QB's right now is in a place to make things crystal clear.

If Sanchez comes into the game and has a turnover or two in the 4th quarter against second-stringers, well Geno is going to be the QB most likely at that point. Because if you're playing a bad QB no matter what it's a lot better to play the guy with some upside.

Sanchez did indeed turn the ball over and I think the injury just masked the fact that he is getting farther away from convincing Marty, Idzik (and Rex) that he should be under center opening day.

Cheering for him to get injured is just a hoe move however you cut it. People have this delusional mindset that just because an athlete makes millions its cool to wish injury on them or have a bitter dislike towards them as a person when its unwarranted. Its one thing to boo shitty play but to feel entitled to wish injury on someone is lame.

Anyhow I hope they don't destroy genos confidence and put him in a shitty situation to start off. Barring extreme improvement on genos end in practice and behind the scenes if rather Sanchez earn his paycheck and be the fall guy early in the season and if he's not ready give Simms or McElroy a shot week 1 and ease geno in as the season progresses.

This sums it up. Nobody separated themselves. If the order was Sanchez starting this game, Geno would have been brought it in. Sanchez played against 2nd and 3rd stringers against JAX and nobody complained.

Getting hurt is a part of football, it sucks that 3 of our QBs have gotten hurt this preseason, 2 in preseason games when we wanted to see what they could do. Injuries happen though, and it happened here throwing another wrinkle in our QB competition.

exactly. if mark hadnt been injured, nobody would be saying anything about mark playing in the game. but a chance to criticize the jets on something they publicly did, well, thats like pure crack for these media whores

Yeah, Injuries happen, and every team puts a starter in behind a guy that started playing Center four days before the game, for the first time in his entire life.

The real question is WTF was Peterman doing playing Center in that Situation?

The minute Sanchez came in, Schlauderauff and Peterman should have rotated back to their normal positions.
