Oh, so I guess he also "bounced back" at the end of the 2011 season, too. You know, when he had that stellar game in Miami to close the season . . .?
This is another blatant lie. A few pages ago, I described the Colts-Jets wildcard game, in great detail, along with posting Sanchez's meager stats. You proceeded to ignore most of what I wrote and criticize me for posting stats "without context". What you typically do is ignore the context that doesn't suit your depressingly baseless points of view.
that was when it really started but to be fair the team was lifeless that week after ruining their playoff hopes the 2 previous weeks. We did still have a lea din the 3rd until our "great" D allowed the legendary matt Moore to lead a 13 min TD drive to take the lead in the 4th. show me? I dismiss #s w/o context.
You mean the one where the entire team basically gave up on each other and our #1 WR was benched at the end of the game? The line stunk the defense stunk, Sanchez stunk, But lets just blame #6. He was running for his life that entire game, And STILL brought us back to within 2 points with a TD to Patrick F'in Turner in his last possession after driving down the field.
as usual you posted #s w/o context, just posting #s doesn't tell us much. In that game neither QB was great but when it came time to win the game Mark sanchez succeeded where Peyton Manning failed. That is bigger than any individual #s. as usual you try to post an example and fail.
here was some "context" i recently provided: "It's funny that you chose the 2011 wildcard game @Indy as your prime example, because Sanchez was pretty mediocre in this game. He was particularly bad in the first half. (He threw an awful interception right before halftime that took away a scoring opportunity) What saved the Jets in this game was their running game. They went on two long, time-consuming drives in the second half that really took control of the game. They pounded the ball on both drives. Mark was 18/31 for 189 yards, with 1 int and 0 TDs. We ran for 169 yards in this game. LT averaged 5.1 yards/carry. We possessed the ball for over 33 minutes. As usual, we played around Mark Sanchez and we won. In typical misleading fashion, you boiled Sanchez's entire performance down to the game-winning drive, while ignoring the fact that our offense played around him for the majority of the game AND that Cromartie set him up with a kick return past the 40 yard line on that final drive. You are either delusional or dishonest. (probably a little bit of both) Despite possessing the ball for 10 fewer minutes then Sanchez, Peyton was 18/26 for 225 yards, with 1 TD and 0 int. " Here's how you started your retort of the specifics what I wrote in your response: You only see the "context" that supports your loony arguments
There's SOME context, I apologize if I Missed that but mark had a bad HALF, in the 2nd half he had 2 incompletions one of which was a 3rd down DROP by Holmes on the play before the lacey running into the Kicker, he also converted huge 3rd downs throwing and running. Peyton's #s were skewed by ONE play, the 57 yd TD. the rest of the game he threw for 168 yds on 25 attempts and he had the game in his hands late needing ONE 1st down to ensure Vinatieri would attempt the GW FG w/ no time left. He FAILED, he set up a 50 yd FG for his K which luckily for him AV made to give Indy a lead but that crappy Mark Sanchez was left w/ 45 secs and you know how bad QBs can always lead their O's to chip shot Fgs for the win w/ 45 secs left on the road, right? You may want to actually watch games in the future.
you are such a humongous tool its amazing. i think i will start a poll of this one in the bs section and see what the 95% think. keep giving him hell slim, its pointless but i enjoy reading you thrashing him over and over again. i am not nearly eloquent enough to keep up with the bs and he has already dismissed my points long long ago.
But you do this constantly and it really hurts your credibility. oh, so now we can start picking and choosing which plays to analyze and which plays to throw away? Gotcha. Seems "Fair" and "unbiased" to me
To be fair, MS doesn't lead that wonderful chip shot drive if not for one of the worst TO's in history by Jim Caldwell. A little context to the great drive by Sanchez.
I think the 47 yard kick return helped a lot more then the TO by Caldwell. If we don't start out near midfield we don't win that game.
Well, I agree, but without that timeout, we don't run that last play (Braylon 15-20 yard catch on sideline) and a 50+ FG became a just over 30 chip shot for Folk. We still have a chance from 50+, but the timeout made so little sense.
If Mark doesn't connect with Edwards on a perfectly thrown ball to the outside shoulder, there's no way we win.
I don't know how anyone can take away what Sanchez has done in the playoffs. He played well. That's a big reason why so many including myself stayed patient with him for as long as we did even though his regular season play didn't deserve it.
We are going to hit 1000 pages by the end of the season for sure. Page 662 is from 8/5/13 Damn this thread moves fast
now we come w/ the childish insults b/c you always get humiliated when trying to debate me. Typical. I have more credibility built up here than just about anyone, I missed a minor point, I still tore apart the whole point the next time so what is the difference? you are making a HUGE assumption, we had a TO left, we don't take our time if that TO isn't called. Braylon caught that pass w/ 25 secs and oh by the way got out of bounds but they let the clock run, we allowed 20 secs to tick off the clock which we wouldn't have had Indy not called the TO. That TO is incredibly overblown. I see a lot of if's but the bottom line is he led us to a chip shot FG. In a very similar spot in thw 2005 div rd at HOME after receiving 2 gifts to stay in the game the great Peyton Manning got the ball near midfield w/ MORE time and all 3 TOs and the best he could do was set up his K for a 46 yd FG which they missed. oh and going back to slim and the TOP thing, maybe if Peyton didn't throw incomplete passes on 2 straight 3rd and 1's in the 1st half they would have held the ball longer?
