Sanchez biggest flaw was what he didnt do on the pick six.

Brady, would have drilled at the grounded FB and gotten the call.

And that would have been the right play.

Doesnt matter. Sanchez should have, and drilled the ball into the ground atTBo.

No the right play is to throw it away or at the FBs foot

He specifically said he seen he wasn't open and still threw it

    That's plain stupid

no, if he jets of last year were 3 and out they would have made the playoffs.

what they were was pick, pick, fumble, pick 6, pick.

how did we win in 2009? with a rookie qb who wasnt allowed to throw, we minimized turnovers, ran, and played D with great special teams. im fine with 3 and outs. i PRAY for sanchez to go 3 and out.

i can live with 3 and out

i cant live with pick 6's and redzone turnovers

He also said he didnt watch much of the offense because he was too concerned about our defense... *Hey Rex, you're a fucking HEAD COACH, you need to pay attention to the offense.*

And people wonder why Rex shouldnt have complete control on who starts at QB...

    You arent listening.

This was never a competition, ive told you that from Day one.

The alleged insiders rooting for Geno to take over..are alleged.

The insoders are hoping Geno is out this week, so the compettition circus goes away.

It is in the JETS longterm best interest for Geno to be #2, while they succeed this year.

what good is a good drive when you just gave the opponent 7 points? all that does is get you back to square one! give me a guy who doesnt immedietly put the team in a giant hole or crap away drives left and right.

sanchez was awesome on that TD drive. but thats diminished immensely by throwing a pick 6(damn near 2 of them actually)

we know sanchez can make plays down the field. but those dont matter much if they come along with back breaking turnovers. you cant turn it over in the NFL, especially inside the 20's and win. it just doesnt happen

    Sadly you're right

Rex will not play any other QB than Mark

But the best interest of the Jets is to play the kid who will play in 2014

Mark will win us nothing this year

We will not succeed with him at QB I'm sorry

the receiver being thrown down is irrelevant. screens get blown up all the time. the difference is most QBs will throw the ball into the ground, cut their losses, and move on to the next play. sanchez throws it to the opponent and gives them 6 free points.

its the decision making that is a MAJOR issue. if this was isolated, or even rare you gloss over it. but this is the same mistake he has made over and over the past 4 seasons.

its the most alarming thing that could have possibly happened. a back breaking rookie mistake. he hasnt progressed at all when it comes to decision making. and we arent good enough to go back to the 2009 offense where we limit him to 250-280 throws and rely on the run game

and after reviewing the game tape, he will have another bullshit excuse for el taco loco.

now, you all know why he started the first game. it was on the road.

had he thrown the pick at metlife, the state trooper riot squad would have been activated. how they expect people to buy psl/tickets/team gear /concessions/parking/nfl ticket with el taco loco not holding a clipboard for the rest of the year is astounding!

maybe woody and rex had a Yugo franchise years ago........

again, people continue to focus on the wrong things. it isnt about the execution. an interception isnt a big deal. id be 1000 times happier if sanchez threw 3 interceptions into 1 on 1 coverage or downfield.

it was the DECISION MAKING. he is inside his own 10 yardline. the play is busted. instead of throwing it in the ground, he throws it to the opponent for an easy touchdown.

thats a mistake he has made dozens of times already. this is year 5. there is simply no excuse for that decision making. he should be throwing that ball away or taking a sack 100 out of 100 times.

there is simply no way to excuse that play. none. zero. ziltch. you cant excuse the decision making, and its something we have seen repeatedly for 4 years. this isnt an anomoly, its the norm.

Sanchez was good tonight. 10/13. 1 Touchdown. Looked in command of the offense. Good pace.

    HOWEVER...........

The Pick-6 was inexcusable. It just shows that he can't think quick enough during live action. He needs to ask himself, what is the best possible result of this pass? What is worst possible? Is it worth the risk? Clearly the answer is no. That is what drives me nuts.

Smith left a lot to be desired. The injury certainly shortened his night. Hopefully he starts next week.
