He fell to 39 because drafting him at 9 OR 13 would have been a stupid move and would have put too much pressure on him.

 

Dude..wake up. Before Smith unpredictably fell to 39...the roster was Samchez,Garrard,McElroy,Simms....you really think they were trying to unseat Sanchez?

The Bills haven't made the playoffs since 1999. I doubt they are a model franchise to follow in terms of their draft.

Geno Smith is definitely the best QB on the roster now. It is almost impossible to be as bad as Sanchez has been the last couple years. I even think McElroy with some time behind a reasonable OL is better than Sanchez. Several of the unsigned free agent QBs are better than Sanchez. Numerous #2 QBs in the NFL are better than Sanchez. Who knows? Simms may be better than Sanchez. Reality: Sanchez is terrible by any objective measure, clearly the worst starting QB in the NFL.
