Taking Joe benignos word is foolish, please think for yourself. Joe is a great guy but he sways in the wind like most of you.

Herm took over a team that made 1 postseason in 9 years, had missed 2 straight, had THREE coaches walk out on them in the previous YEAR, had a DYNASTY team at their peak in his division but yeah he had a dynasty himself and w/ any other coach they would have won 4-5 SBs which is why so many coaches were walking out us and we couldn't get anyone to take the job.

I don't care about Herm in KC but he went there and led them to the playoffs where they had been just 1 time in the previous 8 years before he got there.

Was McCareins supposed to be Jerry Rice? did I miss something? he was a big part of our 2004 run then he disappointed. was that worthy of pretending like he was the worst player we ever saw?

Who cares what Hackett did at USC or as a HC? I disliked Hackett and wanted him gone too but we made 3 postseasons in 4 years w/ him as our OC.

Some people are so angry w/ their own lives they have to take it out on others.

Tony Sparano wasn't a bad coach because he was present for the Phins only playoff berth in the past 10 years!!! Please I hope we bring him back!

so Tony made THREE postseasons? he won 2 postseason games?

and Sparano didn't do a bad job for you guys winning a div tile and having you close to .500 the other 2 full years. Not a great job but he wasn't exactly Cam Cameron either.

Herm was one of the worst in-game coaches. Good guy and leader though

Herm wasn't a terrible coach but he wasn't good either. His in game decisions were very bad and he's very lucky he had Curtis Martin. He rode that horse into the ground. A lesser or less durable talent at the RB position and he has no playoff (losses) on his resume.

He singlehandedly ran 2 RBs into the ground, Curtis Martin and Larry Johnson.

He didn't run Curtis into the ground, he suffered a freak injury that ended his career.

    In 76 games he averaged 19.8 carries/game, 2.8 recs/game under Herm

    In 79 games Under Parcells/Groh he averaged 22 carries/game, 2.9 recs/game

how did Herm run him into the ground when he used him LESS than BP/Groh?

As usual Junc your just wrong, wrong wrong and wrong.

First Sanchez doesn't have more touchdown passes than any QB in Jets History, that record belongs to Vinny Testeverde.
Second, he's not even in sole possession of 2nd place at 26.
That's a tie between him, Namath and Dorrow, the latter 2 did it in 14 game seasons.

Secondly, I did read....you Didn't. No turnover is ever good, especially in the other teams territory when your in FG range...you've taken points away from your team by turning the ball over....especially on 2nd down when there's still a legitimate chance to score 7. As you've stated 3rd and long is a 33% chance of getting a first down, we'll accept that as a correct number rather than argue it, I'll take a 33% chance at a first down and a shot at 7 points over a turn over any day of the week. twice on Sundays.

Third. You argue that some turnovers turn out to be less costly than others. You can thank the defense for that when it turns out to be less costly, BUT your putting the defense back on the field when the offense should still have the ball. Any Pappa league football players knows that no turnover is good, EVER.....Just like a punt my ass.

Herm took over in 2006, Priest was hurt, Priest came back in 2007 and barely played but of course that was Herm's fault.

Reading comprehension, it can be your friend!

I didn't write he has more TD passes, I wrote he has more TOTAL TDs. That "total" word is the key so it includes passing and rushing.

again on the no TO is ever good as if I said anything else.

It's a fact that not all TOs are equally as bad, some hurt, some don't.

the offense being terrible as a whole is not an excuse to consistently make rookie mistakes, make awful panic plays, and consistently give the ball away.

how many times do you have to throw a pick inside the 5 yardline for it to be your fault
