he didnt outplay brady. brady had 2 touchdowns and no turnovers. sanchez had 2 turnovers and just 1 touchdown. brady didnt cost his team points, turn it over, or have negative plays. and in overtime, he led his team to points, sanchez did not. Also, brady was playing a very good pass defense. sanchez was playing the leagues worst pass defense. russell wilson torched the pats, Ryan fitzpatrick torched the pats, joe flacco torched the pats. its not exactly a huge accomplishment. especilly odd to beat sanchez chest when he turned it over more then he scored. how is 53% completions, last in the NFL, not "as bad as it gets".
The AFL is a pool of medoicrity, winning on the road takes almost a perfect game. Yesterday special teams gave up a score, the ground and pound OC had a brain fart on 3rd and 1 the first situation all year that screamed Tebow and we had a critical turnover late. Sanchez over all played very well and yes his turnover was a killer. With all that we still had a chance to win all we needed was one stop at the end and couldn't get it. For a team built around running the ball and defense when your QB gets you a lead late in the 4th quarter the D has to get a stop. If it can't you can't build your team around that concept. That's on the HC.
He played some crappy games this year. Most against great defenses but this unit is young and was injured but getting healthy. His starting receiver are a rookie second year pro a JAG and a Veteran TE all of four years in the league. Sanchez played very well the last two weeks. he played well enough not to hear the shit from you nit picking four throws where two were complete and the other lead to a TD. I like how you brought this back to other games. Face it Sanchez played well this week and will start next week.
He played better than OK yesterday and he did win it the defense could not hold them he had to try to win it again and didn't.
Sanchez just sucks. He only had 68% completion rate and 320 yards and 2 great TD drives. That just won't cut it in today's NFL. There were at least 20 QBs that played worse than Sanchez this week. Looking at NFL.com he was rated #5 this week in QB rating and yards. He just SUCKS!!!! Every QB makes mistakes every week. People judge Sanchez much more harshly than anybody else. What about the pass Brady threw that could have been a Cro pick 6? That was a terrible throw that nearly cost them the game. That kind of thing happens. Football is a fast game that has a lot of variance. I see QBs making errors all the time that make Sanchez look like a god.
he didnt play well, he played average. he turned it over twice, both huge turnovers. he is one of the 5 worst qbs in the league. he will start next week, and thats why we wont win.
I have been saying this for months & nobody is listening or does not yet want to believe MS cannot do 2 FB related actions at the same time that is like look down field & also think there may be a opponent coming that is about to clobber me. This flaw is NOT coachable & goes under the file either U got it or U do not. That is it plain & simple.
A change is needed, and its not Tebow. Sanchez has regressed and will never be any better than the below average to average backup QB that he is
When Sanchez can consistently have a completion rating in the high fifties or low sixties with limited turnovers, then people won't get on him. If he can accomplish that, very few people would bash him.
Against perhaps the best O in the conference. all they needed was a FG. They had the time and the timeouts, and Brady is a master in situations of that sort. I was not happy the D did not stop them. But I was not the least bit surprised, either.
So now we criticize when he plays well because he still sucks? No matter how he plays he can't be good? His first two years he played better than we would have thought. Last year played well first half the season struggled the second half. This year three very good games two average to below two horrific games. Lets just give his do they offense was decimated by injury and is very young the are making huge strides let it play out.
so you think sanchez hasnt played poorly the last 3.5 years? statistically he certainly has been bottom 5. i realize that doesnt tell the whole story, but watching the games, he isnt far off from his statline. he has been hot trash
