You claimed he had an over the hill rb, mediocre wrs and a flake for a TE. So what are you impling? Sanchez carried them in 09 and 10?

You can try to turn it around all you want, the fact is Sanchez had good players around him, and from 09 to 11 Tanny tried like hell to get talent around him.

Yes. Lets ruin Geno Smith too.

Get off the RGIII, Russell Smith hype train. Those guys went to teams with pieces in place.

    Lets ruin another QB.

I can see Sanchez being successful somewhere else.
This has disaster written all over it.

what does cutting Sanchez have to do with ruining smith? what does RG3 or russell wilson have to do with anything?

    you arent making any sense.

cut sanchez prior to june 1. removed any money he would count against our cap next season, giving us 40-50 million in cap space. we cleared the space to take the cap hit this year. we also remove any media circus with sanchez.

we have garrard to start this year, a veteran to help smith who would provide much better competition then sanchez who is an awful fit for the WCO

Tanny traded for Edwards and Holmes. He signed plax and mason. The jets had cotchery. The idea that somehow the jets didn't try to get Sanchez enough tools flies in the face of reality.

The best argument for Sanchez is that he simply wasn't ready for the NFL with his limited starting experience in college and that perhaps the fall off in talent from 2010 is masking his progress.

But some of his issues have nothing to do with anything but him. When you watch the games where he is throwing off the back foot late over the middle...what fixes that kind of decision making? If he doesn't understand game situations by now, will he ever get it?

Plenty of QBs step in as rookies nowadays and perform well. This isn't the 1980s where QBs got to ride the bench for years.

PS for all you cut Sanchez guys....

Suppose some miracle happens, and he beats out Sanchez in camp. A long shot but...

So Smith goes out, wins 6 games...gets hurt, Right now, no one else in the roster is capable of winning long term. And dont say Garrard, he injury prone.

How would it look for a GM, thats paying a playoff winniing QB 8million dollars to NOT have that QB on the roster?

6-2, no viable backup, season flushed. Thats the kind of move that gets GMs fired.

you know what... we just may see sancho cut before june 1 in order to accelerate his dead money to this year. it just may happen!!!

but for now we are still 34 days from no mo sancho

Garrard? Are joking? Garrard. Ant stay on the field, whats in his head is more valuable, than whats in his legs.

Mayock just said it, Sanchez today, is the better QB.

And the references were to rookie starters. We dont have the same ready to go team.

at 6-2 i'd much rather have garrard come in then sanchez. sanchez isnt getting that team anywhere, and likely causing us to go into a tailspin and finish 7-9

See above. That kind of move, is a gamble for the GM. Not likely.

You dont cut a proven QB, that youre already paying anyway.McElroy and Simms arent the answer if the starter gets hurt.

The three best QBs on the roster are Sanchez,Garrard, and Smith on that order.

sanchez is not better then garrard, especially in the WCO. sanchez is the leagues worst starting QB. his accuracy is terrible and in the WCO being accurate and making good decisions is critical.

Garrard was injury prone earlier in his career, but the past 4 seasons he played at starter he was relatively healthy.

either way, its moot. you start garrard, if he gets hurt, the its time to see what Geno Smith has. either way, this is a transition year. we arent competeting for a superbowl regardless of who starts.

sanchez being on this team helps us in no way. he doesnt help us on the field and he takes reps away from others in practice, and cap wise, it benefits us to move on from him.

as far as backups/injuries, mcelroy is a better option

Hobbes is high. Sanchez is the worst quarterback I have seen in a while. He is NOT better than Smith and Garrard.

Sanchez isnt a proven QB... actually he is proven, he is proven to be a terrible NFL quarterback.

mcelroy and smith wouldnt translate into less wins then sanchez. because we wouldnt win with sanchez on the field.

and cutting sanchez, financially, is a great decision.

How many games did Garrard play the last two seasons?

    Remind me again....

McElroy? Yeah, Idzik will risk his early career, on GMac backing up, when he jas to pay 8 million to a player thats light years better than McElroy.

Geno Smith is not as good as Sanchez, at this point in time, no matter how much you want it to be so.

4road play off wins, one of the five fastest to thirty wins ..ever.

With next to know offensive help to grow with.

Now, youre just being a clown.

Why dont you run down the last 6 first round picks by the Jets.

Even Manning needed Harrison, WYne,Clark, and Addai. All first round talents.

Than Mayock must be high, because he just said it too.

And, btw...how many NFL games have you seen Smith p,ay in...just curious...and yes, Sanchez is better than Garrard, over any 16 game season, because Garrard cant stay on the field.
