Clearly you're the educated one in the thread. Please, tell me more about your 1st Century A.D. conceptual understanding of biology. Seriously though go back, realize you're a dolt, and then move on with your pathetic life. I'm surprised you can even type
Ofcourse it is. Do you know how many native american civil rights groups have tried to have it changed?
Do you know how to tell if someone is a good qb or not? A good/elite qb doesn't stare down a reciever. That is exactly what mark sanchez does. I never saw him scan the whole field before. Dude reminds me of vinny testaverde .. He even looks like him but sanchez is worse. Sorry for the all caps rage, just a fed up jets fan. J just e enough t to s suck
that is true but that is when having a shitty QB can hurt because the defense KNOWS you're gonna run the ball. i don't mind passing to keep the defense honest, but too bad we have the worst starting QB in the league throwing the ball. they were running the ball well, they should have at least attempted to run the ball some mored. tell that to Sanchez.
Descendants of the Trail of Tears represent. Seriously though I usually go on a profane rant about what names NFL teams should change their mascots to in order to equate to WASH (but I don't want to get banned).
There is a remarkable correlation in intelligence between those who use racial epithets and those are offended by them. At the end of the day, it wouldn't matter if Sanchez was an aborigine as long as he played well, didn't turn the ball over, and didn't play terribly in all facets of the game. Stop feeding the trolls.
That a group wants to have it changed doesn't mean that it actually has a negative connotation. It's like the issue with the Florida Seminoles, some native americans don't like it but others believe it to be perfectly acceptable.
is blacks an offensive word to describe african americans? Not really. But would people like a team called the Atlanta Blacks?
Sorry that you feel that way. I know some Native Americans who have no qualms about it as it doesn't portray Native Americans in a negative fashion.
Washington Redskins with a giant picture of a native american? What if it was Washington Yellowskins with a giant picture of an asian? Or Washington Darkskins with a giant picture of a black guy? For record I personally don't care, but I can understand very much why it would offend people.
They were allowed to keep the name because the Seminole Tribe gave them permission, so that I will say 1) there is no Redskin Tribe and 2) Miami University change from the Redskins to the Redhawks at the request of the Miami Tribe in 1996. Some (insert race) don't like being called (insert racial slur) but others believe it to be perfectly acceptable. I used to not care at all but then realized that having Redskins as a mascot of a major national sports team does, like I would argue in this case, lead some to believe that it's no worse than n***** or c***** or s***** (and that is what I have a problem with.)
Well regardless, to get back on track... Someone saying that mark can't play QB because his heritage and genetic traits are from hispanic lineage is RACISM. or at the very least Prejudice due to the fact that Hispanic/Latino isn't a Race.
