Perhaps I'm reaching but I would take 2010 mark Sanchez over joe flacco in a playoff game. This is before Sanchez developed the confidence of a pimple faced overweight 15 year old girl. Joe flacco is overconfident trash who's deficiencies are covered by being on a really good team.
20 TD passes is a low enough number that you might be able to use 20 HR instead of 30. I mean, these days, we're back to only a handful hitting 40 and a bunch hitting 30. 20 TD passes is done by even crappy QBs most years. It's not even 1.5 per game.
Hey if the mets could finally get a no hitter. Perhaps the next qb the jets draft will end up panning out lol
Sanchez looked like he regained a ton of confidence after the Rams game. Even fooled me into thinking maybe he turned a corner. We all know what happened after that.
I have been trying to stay out of this thread, but I have a question. Do you think it is a telling sign, when you coaching staff doesn't want your expensive top 5 pick quarterback throwing the ball?
yeah you can count the Jags in the W column.....considering we already beat them. tonite the Jets play Tennessee.
Toke toke pass!!!!! They played the Jags last week. We play the Titans tonight, a much better team than the Jags with some actual weapons.
hurling insults doesn't help your weak arguments. Flacco has been a bad postseason QB, Sanchez has been really good. We've lost b/c of our D in the title games, Bal has lost b/c of their O in their playoff losses and specifically the QB(except for the last playoff loss). In Flacco's 4 playoff losses: 71-131, 761 yds, 3 TDs, 8 INTs, 53.6 rating, led O to 13.5 PPG Sanchez in his 2: 37-63, 490 yds, 4 TDs, 1 INT, 97.9 rating, led O to 17 PPG In one postseason game Flacco threw 3 INTs, that's Sanchez's TOTAL in his 6 playoff games. Despite playing 3 less games Sanchez has more TDs. in '09 and '10 they both lost to thes ame teams. '09 both lost at Indy: Flacco: 20-35, 189 yds, 0 TDs, 2 INTs, 48.4 rating, led O to 3 pts Sanchez: 17-30, 257 yds, 2 TDs, 1 INT, 93.3 rating, led O to 17 pts '10 both lost at Pitt: Flacco: 16-30, 125 yds, 1 TD, 1 INT, 61.1 rating, led O to 17 pts Sanchez: 20-33, 233 yds, 2 TDs, 0 INTs, 102.2 rating, led O to 17 pts combined: Flacco: 36-65, 314 yds, 1 TD, 3 INTs, 54.2 rating, led O to 10 PPG Sanchez: 37-63, 490 yds, 4 TDs, 1 INT, 97. 9 rating, led O to 17 PPG Rivers was never a great QB and has always been overrated, GREAT fantasy QB but always chokes in big games.
It's pretty much Britt and CJ2K. That's not to say those aren't significant players but Cro has done a good job all season of taking on the top receiver. Rush defense has been less stellar but has definitely been better the last few weeks than the first few weeks. It's definitely no gimme, none of the three games we have left are, but realistically we'd have to be the favorite in all three games we have left. Considering how bad we can choke in easily winnable games I don't know if that's a good thing or not but just saying.
Well, the Jags do have two pretty good receivers in Shorts and Blackmon, but Britt, Wright and Johnson give the Titans better weapons, and Cook at TE is capable of destroying us if we're not careful. Agreed, we should beat every team left on this schedule both based on talent and the pattern we've established for the entire year. But I've been a fan since 1981, and there ain't no such thing as 'should' becoming reality with this team.
He's not great yet, but he's still got potential ... I said he can be a great QB under the right circumstance. I think Rivers played excellent back when he had LT, Vincent Jackson and Gates playing at a high level. I mean we are at a cross-roads and eventually we'll need a new QB here with the Jets. I like the idea of bringing in Norv Turner here as an OC and bringing in a QB like Rivers as well so there's familiarity
SD was a SB favorite every year from about '06-'09 and the only time they got close they did so after Rivers got hurt. They made 1 title game in the '07 season and the winning TD drive came when Rivers was out and Billy Volek was in at Indianapolis. I would MUCH rather have Mark Sanchez than Philip Rivers.
LOL rivers is a choker Sanchez has won more Playoff games in his short 4 year stint than Rivers has done in his career
Joe Montana has a lower QB rating than Tony Romo, Matt Schaub and Philip Rivers so clearly he's much worse than those guys:rofl2:
He will be back if you make the playoffs... Make and get bounced and keep him OR not make and he gets cut...
