Can someone answer me this then? How many 300+ yd games have he had in 3 1/2 years? How many games has mark thrown for more then 3 TDs ? He is not a passer,He is a game manager.. Eli manning has thrown 300 and 400 yd games multiple times.. Tannehill who is a rookie has a 400 yd game already and he is a rookie..
And I understand the apologists protecting him.. He does have some intangibles that some big passers don't have. He can be taught without his ego getting in the way. He understands that you need to run to set up the play action. He is no longer a rookie and that alone should help him. But to say he is a great QB is not true and new york fans want the best. I sure do.
I believe he's had two...at least in the NFL. He did beat us with 104 yrds. passing...Sancho had 245 that day.
Sanchez has had 7 300+ yrd. games. Most were wins. He had a nice three game win streak in 2010 where he threw for 950 yards. Oh, the good old days...
I don't understand why people bring up these stats. All it does us add fuel to the fire that is non sensable fans. Most people realize that Mark Sanchez us not a great QB. I hesitate to say average sometimes, but what fans don't understand is that it is very hard to find good QBs. They don't realize that if we were to give up on Sanchez, we would either get a one year filler our draft a rookie and start him. Who is to say that that QB will be any better than what Mark us? What if he is much worse? Then you scrap it and to it all over again. It becomes a never ending cycle and one if the reasons the Jets have no been a successful franchise. Why not just support the guy we have until he either gets it or falls apart? It's frustrating enough watching the media burn him. It becomes unbearable when "fans" do it too.
^If were counting playoffs then we have to shed light on Sanchez's solid work in the tournament. If we're counting playoffs.
