This is why I think Mark Sanchez is an inaccurate QB: he's inaccurate. There are a bunch of factors that could play into that which are external to Mark Sanchez, like OC, receivers, protection, etc. However the most likely explanation at this point is that he's just inaccurate. Not every QB can complete passes at a high rate in the NFL. Most cannot. There are maybe 20-25 guys in the world who can consistently complete 60%+ of their passes. When you see a guy not only consistently south of that number but generally at the bottom of the standings in terms of completing passes the odds are pretty good he's just not a good passer. Matched against that probability we have one year at USC in a pro style offense in which the talent was pretty well stacked against college competition. Look at the other guys who came out of USC with much more playing experience. They're not much better other than Carson Palmer and even Palmer has only had one season that marked him as a superior NFL QB.
Sanchez has regressed to Jamarcus Russel levels. Oh and when, "Lawl. Lame duck arm." gets you a warning from a mod. That's clearly a case of singling a member out and power abuse.
And it was sweet. We cheered here at my house. We had hope coming out onto the field in the form of McElroy. It was good to see the fans cheering as well. Maybe we can catch some breaks and win out. The rest of the season maybe more enjoyable now.
oh my god i had blocked that out of my mind. possibly the most horrifying thing i have ever seen. well including the 3 - 0 win against the redskins and this defuckingbacle today. i think there was a 9 to 6 game in there against indy in the early 90s too... fucking painful football. that wasnt great defense that was horrific offense.
The Sanchez era is over. I've heard it a few times during the draft, with people saying that taking a QB in the top half of the 1st round needs to work out, or the organization is set back for about 4 years. I think last year, this year, and atleast 2 more years until we can develop a real QB, so atleast that holds true I guess. I personally thought Sanchez would improve this year and take a step up, but my God. He does suck.
Have you forgotten the SF game this year. That was by far the worst game I have ever seen a QB play. He could not get the ball within 10 yards of wide open receivers. That was a very winnable game before Sanchez fumbled and intercepted our way into an insurmountable hole. If we just had bad to mediocre QB play it was a game we we could have won like the Steelers game, the Texans game, the Seahawks game, and the 2nd Dolphins game. Have you forgotten the Colts playoff win. Arguably the worst QB play ever in a playoff game. Sanchez was so bad they had to abandon thee pass offense in the 2nd half to get back into the game. Do you forget the Baltimore game last year where Sanchez scored 3 TDs for Ravens. While Sanchez's performance today was certainly bad those three games and many others were much worse.
Definition of insanity: Putting Mark Sanchez out on the field expecting a different result after what we today. That will be crazy.
he was terrible, he deserved to be benched. It doesn't mean we give up on him but he deserved to be benched.
if that is your lowest point you missed the 90s. People that became fans in the last decade have been spoiled.
