Before I even answer that I would question if you're talking about Sanchez here

I love that people now want to redefine or set lower standards to what a Franchise QB is. We all know what a Franchise QB is and it runs the gamut from the established elite Brady, Peyton's, Rodgers to the HIGH Ceilings of the Luck, RG3 and Dalton's of the world.

Sanchez fits neither quality and we shouldn't have the mindset that we desperately need to SETTLE for him.

He had a decent game today. The anti Sanchez crowd should be content with the win, and the pro Sanchez crowd should be happy today but realize that more of this is expected.

New England's D is trash, if Sanchez plays like he did in the first patriots game but doesn't the ball over the jets are 5-6 and very much in the mix with a cupcake schedule the rest of the way

I'll say Sanchez had a respectable game, not a great game, but a good solid game. But it is still only one game and again it's a game where the running game worked well and the defense stepped up after a poor first Quarter.

But, no complaints today...but he needs to keep having decent games to keep his job.

there is no such thing as a "cupcake schedule" when you are on of the 5 worst teams in football. WE are the cupcake team on everyone elses schedule.

to say the titans, cardinals, bills, chargers are cupcakes, especially with most of those on the road, is idiotic.

sanchez was passable today. hope he keeps it up.

Wait, so you're saying that Sanchez isn't likely to be the Jets' Franchise QB for years to come? Shocking.

Those are winnable games. Arizona is trash, their offense makes the jets look like the 99 rams, Tennessee sucks at home, Jacksonville sucks, San Diego will be in the middle of their usual late dissapearing act, and buffalo on the road is a winnable game.

Before the Miami meltdown I felt they had the schedule to finish 6-2 with Seattle and New England being the possible losses. Every game the rest of the season is winnable, it doesn't guarantee they'll win but compared to the early part of the schedule where it was a good team almost every week this part is much easier

Pretty solid game by Sanchez today.

These aren't the type of games I judge quarterbacks by. But it takes these types of solid wins versus a bad team to make a season. So, tip of the cap for a good day at the office.

Hopefully it would shut everybody for a little bit, remember, the Giants were on a bye this week.

He's not a FRANCHISE QB but we know that he can take us to the AFC CG and the reason we lost 2 times wasn't because of his play.

Unless this team goes 3-13 and an Andrew Luck is available and we have the #1 pick overall -- something that happens about every 5 years and just happened this year -- we're not getting anybody materially better than Sanchez.

He's our QB. Deal with it.

Sadly, yes, he's our QB. For now. He's plays absolutely horrible 3 out of 4 games, and then he has 1 SOLID performance.

I used to be a big Sanchez fan, but he has just completely lost my faith, and this one solid performance isnt going to change my mind one bit. He's statistically one of the worst QBs in the league, and its his 4th year... He's regressed a lot and thats just unacceptable.

We only win when Sanchez isn't asked to do much and when the defense scores points.

Defense didn't score points this game. That was against SEA they did. This one Smith got tackled immediately after the pick, Scott got chased by Mulligan, and RB fumble was fallen on with no return

Sanchez played a smart game today. He was making quick decisions, and was hitting his WR's. I don't like him, but I can admit when he plays well.

That being said, I don't think it was Sanchez as much as the game plan, but he did execute.

Be careful - around here people enjoy mixing fiction and fact to support their arguements.

He is one of the worst QBs in the league. There's no debate about that. He had a decent game today. If you watched the game our wrs were wide open.

Were a bad team who beat another bad team. That's it. Still 4-6 and not making the playoffs.

So you're saying the Jets were a bad team and beat a currently bad team? I can never tell with the grammar people slang around here.

I believe he forgot an apostrophe, "We're a bad team who beat another bad team."

One decent game the Sanchez supporters are screaming "I told you so!"...

Hey, if we don't make the playoffs he is still out next year.
