Have to say that while I have often disagreed with you, I've respected your opinion to some degree as it seemed like you knew WTF you were talkiing about.

After reading these two posts, that has changed completely.

Sanchez made a whole series of mistakes on this play. First, he should have stuck with Hill and thrown him the ball after he broke behind the DB sitting in the soft zone. Second, after looking over and seeing Keller, he should have thrown him the ball on a rope. Third, after staring down Keller and pump faking, he should have reset and hit Hill. Fourth, when he came back to Keller again, he should have thrown the ball immediately, while stepping into the throw.

That throw (to hill) gets made all the time. It does not get tipped because the QB throws it high enough to where only hill can get it in the back of the endzone.

Sanchez is horrible. Somehow Keller and Hill are open for easy TDs during that play and he douches it up and throws an int.

Rex is horrible too for not benching Sanchez.

    Sanchez is on pace for:
    3330 yards
    18 tds
    24 turnovers
    (17 ints 7 fumbles lost)

Hopefully he will finish better than that since the schedule should be easier. On the other hand he has 8 fumbles so far but only lost four of them....it could be a lot worse.

    Barcs, Barcs, Barcs....

Are we gonna have to stage an intervention? Can't you see that you're addicted to Sanchez?

First he was great, then he was average, then the play calling was to blame...now it's everybody else's fault including the ref?

Dude...the problem isn't Mark Sanchez. The problem is you.
I thought you were making progress in weaning yourself off Sanchez, but you've had a relapse.

You are in denial. Seek help immediately.

I suggest you subscribe to Sunday Ticket and watch Bronco games.

In the NFL, against professional players, you simply NEVER get a guy more open then Hill is here unless there is a completely blown coverage. The average fan could make this throw, let alone a guy that has been paid tens of millions of dollars to make it. If you cannot see this, you know less then nothing about football.

Reasoning with one of the biggest Sanchez homers ever in Barcs? Good luck. That guy has a man crush on Sanchez and he can do no wrong in his eyes....

Seeing the sequence of images and nopt just one still shot shows he should have thrown to Hill. You couldn't tell w/ the one still shot that was posted yesterday but looking at this sequence he did a bad job. He had Hill.

    I have the perfect solution.

Let's replace him with last year's Three-and-out champion.

    Who was he again?

Yep folks, and that's why still images never tell the whole story. I went back and rewatched the DVR and Sanchez didn't really have pressure although he seemed to be really apprehensive like he was about to be hit. That is my mistake, although the play design did still seem poor. He should have pump faked to Hill and then delivered to Keller, instead of faking to Keller then throwing to him. He should have just thrown the ball instead of that last pump fake. Ah well.

I was kind of rambling and speculating in that post, I admitted I made an error based on the still images. After watching the DVR it's clear Sanchez is skiddish and afraid to do anything. Fix the protection and Sanchez isn't as scared all the time. I never said Sanchez was great, he just needs some help. That error is definitely on him, however.

We're stuck with Sanchez for better or worse until the end of next season, so lets at least get him the help he needs.

Barcs, I'm not overly fond of Sparano, to say the least, but that play design was perfect. No pressure, Hill open across the middle at the back of the endzone and Keller wide open as well.

Hell, even look at the progressions as there were ore than 2 receivers running patterns. First read was Hill, he was open. Second read was Keller. Yep, he was open as well.

I mean, really, outside of the Seahawks defense walking off the field, it rarely gets better than this in the NFL, unless there was a serious bust in coverage.

The protection was fine. Compared to the other teams in the NFL, the protection has been average this year. If anything, Mark has faced less pressure that most QBs. Hard to believe, but it's true.

It's very rare for an NFL QB to go an entire game without getting sacked or pressured. It just doesn't happen. What good QBs do is wipe their minds of it. Each play is new. That you got your ass sacked the last time you dropped back gets erased from your memory. That's what allows them to stand in the pocket and pass the ball.

At this point, Mark is jumping at shadows.

The reason why people think that Sanchez often is under pressure, is that he often behave like he is under pressure.

This says nothing about Tebow. It's about Rex and Mark... and their "love with no end zone in sight."

Don't ruin it by bringing Tebow into the discussion.
