True. I definitely agree with you here. Do you think Roethlisburger would take shit from Holmes about not getting the ball? Big Ben was firing out orders in the huddle and Holmes was getting the job done there. Off the field, sure, but on the field Big Ben has control of his huddle.
I don't think Hill caught a pass the entire game. It's crazy to think what this offense was practicing for two weeks? The only rational conclusion I can come to is that Sanchez either really thought he couldn't make the pass (that hill was covered) or he thought that Hill would drop the ball. Both very scary thoughts for the state of this offense.
That's a very good point.. Great QB's will not accept crap from anyone.. Remember rich gannon? That dude used to scream at his linemen and WR's. Or cutler this year when he shoved his tackle cause he gave up bad sack and almost got injured.. QB's need to have some ballz to a degree. Sanchez is very passive.
sadly I mentioned this as I watched the game......He looked away from Keller, then back to him (albeit too late) very possibly because he thought Keller had the better hands. :shit:
hey you know me 227, i was defending something he did and i think people started to think i was a sanchez apologist so i had to let them know i was one of the guys who couldnt stand him from very early on.
this is good stuff as 227 said.. although they did try to give him some freedom and open up the passing game early last year. he failed miserably with it. i really think something happened to him in that ravens game last year. that was when i really started to see him being out there looking scared. that was when he started hitting the te in the back of the head because he saw a rush coming, when he started to bail out and jump on the ground as soon as he saw a defender come free. he had problems before that that i felt would hold him back as an nfl qb. but since then everything has changed and he has become a scared pussycat back there. and that is his main and major problem. all the rest of it stems from this fear that he now has.
maybe im wrong, ill have to find some video to check out but watching it live i started to say oh hit hill. then i saw the lbs right in the way. then almost immediately sanchez moved to his second read and then hill went open. ill find it but if im wrong then i have been arguing in sanchez favor unjustly.
Mark Sanchez = Rob Johnson Tim Tebow = Doug Flutie Funny thing is that, since the Jills released Flutie, they have been irrelevant.
Does anybody know whether Sanchez calls his own protections at the LOS? Or does Mangold do it? When was the last time anybody saw Sanchez correctly read the defense pre-snap and audible into a good play? Sanchez is a pee-wee level QB.
Great analysis. Maverick got his swagger back but unfortunately, Mark is going to be wearing different colors when he gets his confidence back.
C'mon we have all the pics that if you pile them up. It can look like a flip book. I have seen 2 pics on that play from different motions and he looked at hill twice. Before he got open and then after.
When people on this board talk about the 2 AFCCG's.. I wonder if posters on the cards board talk about.. Well at least we made it to the super bowl 43 in 2008? How can we give up on these guy's?
NFL is all about NOW. Teams change and evolve constantly, if you don't adjust, you will be left behind. Something Jets are starting to realize.
You're wrong. Let's get some landmarks noted so we are all on the same page. Using the pic that NewYorkEveryThing isolated. The referee is right there in the middle, but slightly to Sanchez's right. There are 2 LBs on a level behind the referee, one on each side. They are about 5 yards apart. In relation to Sanchez, they are about 2.5 yards wide of him on each side and about 10 yards away from him. There's a secondary guy behind and to the right (as you look at him) of the LB to Sanchez's right. Can't see his number. He's about 4 yards behind the LB. Hill is coming free behind the guy in the secondary. In the pic, he's a step to the inside of the guy. Remember now, Hill is moving to our left. The secondary guy is standing there. Each tick that goes by, Hill is open more an more. Sanchez could have easily put the ball right over the Ref's head where it would have been out of reach of all 3 of the Seattle defenders. Or, to make it easier. See that official standing right in front of the goal post on the end line ? Sanchez should have put the ball on his right shoulder (left part of his body as he's facing us).
Rex should not be too loyal to sanchez. Because if sanchez gets cut somewhere down the line or when rex thinks he is not the QB that "Gives him the best chance".. He might blame and talk crap about rex.
Yeah but those LB's are crouch down with there hands on there legs.. So sanchez can easily see over them just by the way they are crouching. Forget the ref he is in the way back of the end zone behinde hill. If the ref was in front of hill. Then that's a harder throw.Plus he had good protection. Before the RB fell he was cutting wide to the left like hill.
