At the end of the day.. The QB needs to protect the ball and make the throws. If he is not doing that,Then he is the problem.
I lay blame on him just not ALL of it. He deserves his share, he is playing awful football right now but is he getting any help? how many open blitzers did we miss? how many dropped passes? how si that run game working. It's not just Mark, he is part of the problem not THE problem.
Your defense of Sanchez is beginning to border on the comical, if not delusional. I'm sure you watch the games. Sanchez is clearly not the only problem on offense, but definitely the biggest problem.
Defenders do have that terrible tendency to move around. Somebody should tell that to Sanchez. Trust me, that play looks a lot better as a still frame. Sanchez has no business starting. And damn Rex, bless his stubborn soul, has made it nearly impossible to bench him. Instead of saying something like "we'll take it game by game" or "I'm sitting Sanchez to see what we got behind him now that we're out of the playoff hunt"...he leaves himself no way to change qb's without making himself look stupid. On the other hand, if your team is getting blown out every week, nobody complains about your lack of clock management skills.

I think there's some value in seeing what's there behind Sanchez in the position. I gag a little every time I hear the "chemistry" thing...'specially in regards to Sanchez. No amount of chemistry is gonna solve what ails him. Chemistry is the cherry on top, a fine tuning of capable play. Sanchez can't make basic reads at the line or when the play is in motion. If it breaks down, there's little to no chance he can make something positive happen. His red zone pick towards Keller says it all. Just a horrible thing to see out of a 4th year starter.
At some point all the Sanchez apologists will run out of excuses. Barcs is just about there. He's complaining about letting Sanchez throw on third down. Hey...it's a start.
I think Hill's biggest mistake on that play was wearing a Jet uniform. That wasn't working in our favor yesterday ... or most days. Maybe we should just disguise our receivers as grass, since that's what most of Sanchez' pass attempts end up hitting.
He actually started the play viewing the middle of the field, hitched, didn't see anyone then started down Keller. It wasn't catch and stare. He made his progression and then made a terrible decision.
Actually, he went back and forth. He looked to the middle and saw Hill, then he looked over to Keller and pumped. Looked back towards Hill then went back on to Keller, pumped again, stared him down more then threw the ball. He can't recognize receivers coming open, in this case, Hill across the middle, and he's indecisive about where to throw the ball. This resulted in him waiting too long, staring Keller down, pump faking towards Keller bringing the defender even closer and then being late/slow with the throw.
Very late with the throw. Although as a side note, Keller has always loved drifting when catching. He rarely comes back to the ball. Sanchez has to know this also.
What sickens me is that we had a WINNING forumula in place and we abandoned it. Sanchez was GREAT off the play-action, our run game was great to. We dont need an elite QB to win, idk why we changed to make this a QB driven offense.... I understand we drafted Mark 5th and we expected a QB that could carry the offense, but the first 2 years we were winning with the formula we had. There was no need to change, we shoulda gotten ahold of a RB down the line somewhere. I feel at this point with the way Sanchez's contract is set up, the Jets need to find an elite RB, that will get the most out of Sanchez. Think back to that wildcard round game against the Bengals, thats all we need Mark to do to win. Its unfortunate he isn't becoming the QB we hoped for but we need to play to his strengths, not his weaknesses.
I pretty sure I saw Keller check his watch while Sanchez was showing off his nasty pump fake(s). I'll have to check the replays.
Hill isn't open there. Sanchez's feet are turned to the right, if he shifted his feet back and made the throw that would allow plenty of time for the man in zone to get back into position. He has slid to the right as Sanchez shifted his feet.
Trent Dilfer and Steve Young nailed it on the head, Mark Sanchez's inaccuracies comes from his footwork. He needs better mechanics and he will play better. They did say that the coaches and Sanchez needs to be more accountable than they are right now.

Ummm, third and goal and Keller was standing right passed the goal line, kind of where he should have been. Drifting back puts him short of the goal line with a defender right there. That ball should have been thrown before Keller got the the endzone and he could have walked in for a TD.
