O-M-G. I swear this is the last time im going to address this "issue."

Sanchez played better with the 1s than Geno did. Yes, he had one bone headed pick in game 1 and that INT in the RZ was not on him as the TE stepped behind the defender. Fine, if you dont agree with me and swear I dont know what im talking about but ESPN and NFLN analyst pointed it out and said that wasnt on the QB. Overall the offense showed some promise with him in there.

As I said before. With Sanchez the offense looked serviceable. Sanchez was hitting players nicely, was finally completing screen passes, and was connecting for good gains. With Geno, the offense was out of order. When he finally played with the 1s he sucked ass.

This place is the only place that is blind and still cant understand that Geno looked Raw as as hell and Sanchez had the starting job going into week 1.

If you and others dont understand that well than too bad.

That's it, im done, its now week 2, move on.

Can the Jets cut him given their current cap situation? Not sure this is a viable option.

They can cut him. They have plenty of room still under the cap this year to cut him this year. Cutting him would shift roughly 4.5 mill of dead money from next year to this year and they have an estimated 11 mill left in cap room.

I don't get how anyone can be upset with that statement.

    1. It is a fact.
    2. Nice to see Mark sticking up for himself for once.
    3. He should say something, with how his injury has been handled. Terrible.

Sanchez has just experienced a "Wally Pipp" moment in his career.

You can only cut him now if he doesn't have an impact on our cap for next season. This was a pretty classless statement by Sanchez especially since he's still on the team. As I said many times before the season started Sanchez would never start another game for the Jets. That has finally come to fruition. Good riddance, Mark and good luck with the Baywatch gig in OC.

These Sanchez apologist are he-larry-us. Giving Sanchez a pass yet when Holmes had his meltdown at the end of 2011 they gave me no pass at all.

Hmmm maybe because he's still on the team and is supposed to be a good team player??? Maybe because you're supposed to support your teammates?? There's many reasons to be upset with this statement. It's nice to see Mark Sanchez gone once and for all. I guess it would only be upsetting if you were a Sanchez supporter or apologist. He's done as a Jet so you better get used to it.

If you weren't at camp every day to watch every practice you are in no way qualified to say anything about who won the competition..anymore than any other idiot poster on this board is. The only people who can decide that are the coaches and we have no idea what they would have decided.

He has been the best team player the Jets have had since 2009. That has never been his issue. Also, I am sure he would not say that unless Rex told him the same.

I'm beginning to wonder if Sanchez is under delusions that if he rehabs his arm he'll be back next season.

Really it's his only leverage to have a 12 million contract next year. If the Jets cut him no team will offer him anything close to that. Then again if Geno falters the Jets will cut him next year anyways in order to offer him a new much lower contract.

Sanchez is NOT EVEN CLOSE to being the best player the Jets have had since 2009...if that were the case the team would have been 3-13 every year. okay maybe 4-12.

Geno wins by default just by being able to throw a screen pass.
