He's done a real good job with the media in his 5 years here, this is a terrible comment. Maybe it will come off differently if we hear him speak it, but man this comes off bad

If that's the case he is delusional. This injury was a blessing in disguise. He could have bowed out on a positive, been around the team. Helped geno. Maybe by watching the game he could have learned how to play it better.

No team was rushing for his services if healthy. Forget about with an arm tear

Well, Sanchez must realize now that his days of being the Qb of the NYJ's are over so he feels free to speak his mind. He's getting his $8.5m anyway so it really doesn't matter if the Jets cut him or just pay him to "rehab" aka: fade away.

I can see him returning to SoCal though. Oakland would be a good landing place for him or even in SD as a backup.

The SoCal Kid's best move right now would be to STFU, get healthy and then sell himself to any WC franchise. I could even see him going to 'Zona as a #2.

    I agree.

hysteric reactions do more damage. there is nothing wrong with Mark saying he believed he outplayed Geno and won the job.

he won once Geno screwed up against the Giants. No need in arguing that anymore though but yes it was clear. No fanboy talk either.

this doesn't help the team. every player is going to be asked if they felt mark won. some one is going to slip up and say thew rong thing or something is going to be taken out of context and this can rip through the locker room.

rex is going to be grilled and criticized and all he will be able to say is "right now geno is our starting qb and mark is injured"
everything was about to get alot quieter until this

    edit:
if rex thought the competition was over mark would not have seen the field against the giants

If he does he will look exactly like the QB we suffered with for the last two years. 52 turnovers in two years..garbage is too kind.

He's full of shit. I remember all the media saying that Geno was out playing Sanchez in training camp.
Then the first preseason game Sanchez in his fifth season was still throwing pick sixes like the champ he is.
It wasn't until Geno hurt his ankle and played and practiced through it that Sanchez started "Out playing" Geno.
If Geno never got hurt he would of most likely won it hands down.
