Maybe, but what would Brad Smith want to give him his number back?

    Then Brunell starts.

If he's not taking reps on Thursday, I don't want him going against a nasty pass rush that the Bears have.

I'm thinking big picture here, not just for this year.

Fucking shit, why get hurt now? This couldn't happen against the Bengals?

Yeah...maybe it's the holiday season. Imagine how messed up the line will be blocking for a south paw.

Technically there is a low risk if he does not start. Other teams losing could clinch a spot for the Jets or if not, they would just have to win at home to get in vs. the Bills. Kinda like the Raiders in 2006. I still hope he can go though.

Agreed. I think that if we'd lost @ Pitt then Sanchez would go come hell or high water, but with this, if there's any heightened chance of further injury just roll with Brunell and hope to get the job done.

Is Clemens that bad that a 40yr old Quarterback who hasn't thrown a pass in 2 seasons would start over him?

Why is he even on this roster honestly?

To this longtime NFL watcher, all the comments and actions out of Florham Park today add up to Mark Sanchez not playing Sunday. #Jets

That's not good. Think what you will about Sanchez, but Brunell was done four years ago. Scary to have him start such a crucial game. #Jets 4 minutes ago via Echofon

Brunell played the last game of the regular season last year against the Panthers, and sucked.

u need to go 3 deep at QB roster wise, might as well have the 3rd guy be somebody who's been in the system for years

40% snow.if brunell starts we should go old school and run it 56 times.
line up connor & richardson with greene or LT in the backfield. and use a 7 man line and just pound the rock.

I seriously hate this shit, if it's this bad now the tear won't heal itself in 2 weeks.

I don't get it, the Doctors say he should be fine? Maybe Mark is nervous about further damage to really let it fly?

Well guys, it is looking a bit dimmer for Sanchez. Looks like he is going to be a gametime decision. I don't want to be all doom and gloom on you, but the poster< s > who have written that any cartilidge tear is serious is correct, even a small one. If he were my QB I would want them to sit him, re injury/worsening of injury chances are high. I'd want to take every precaution to try and ensure he be as healed as possible for the PO's.

" The coach said the decision on whether to play Sanchez would likely come on game time Sunday. "

" Rex Ryan retracted his statements from Wednesday that placed the chances of quarterback Mark Sanchez playing Sunday at 99 percent.

    Now, it's down around 80. "

Anyone else see how this is Red Ryans fault? Obviously he was to preoccupied with feet to properly condition and protect our QB from injury. Fire Ryan and bring in McDaniels! Denver had two starting QB! healthy!

if we can manage to get in on sunday w/o sanchez and have him take 2 weeks off. that would be ideal at this stage of the game.
