Thanks! Those posts had a few too many words for my brain to take in after a long day at work.
I would rather see Smith take snaps than Brunell if it comes down to Sanchez not starting for some reason. I'm not a doctor, but I think you guys are overreacting.
I think you use Brunell and as long as he does okay you let Sanchez sit. We want him ready to go for the playoffs.
No way B. Smith is better than Brunell. One thing that Brunell has proven, even in his twilight years, is that he can read a defense and dish out the ball. Obviously he is a fossil, but an OL like ours could, to a degree, mask his lack of mobility and athleticism. I bet if he's given a clean pocket to throw in, with the weapons we have, he could move the ball for us or atleast create some balance on O.
This could be good because it will force Schotty to go back to the game plan that worked vs the Steelers, short quick throws to ensure he doesn't get hit.
A slight cartridge tear isn't a big deal. All that means is he will have to have his shoulder cleaned out at the end of the season, calm down.
NFL teams tend to hide their injuries to a degree. For them to be so outward about it, it's not a big deal.
Yeah, if Sanchez left the Pittsburgh game I would be worried. Instead, he played great. He should be alright.
Right now one can't say even Sanchez could get us 1 TD and 200 yds with 0 INTs vs Da Bears, so if you're expecting that you might be dissapointed.
