he's not, he's coming in as the backup. If Foles gets hurt he'll get a chance to play w/ top notch talent for the first time in his career. If not, he will learn under Chip Kelly and hit the market next year.

Well Two things are certain if Sanchez signs with the Eagles and gets any play time due to Foles injury or mop up duty.
    1) if he does very well then he's either better than we thought or it's a product of the talent around him.
    2) if he throws a bunch of picks there will be no more excuses.

The talent upgrade is huge, he will never have played w/ that much talent. all QBs not named Tom Brady need talent to win. When Mark had it he was good, when he didn't he was bad.

Why did he go somewhere where he doesn't have a chance of starting? In my opinion he wanted to stay close to NYC and Philly is only an hour away.I feel like this move might not be the best thing for him right now.He shoulda went back to the west coast or Texans

where are the starting jobs available? Houston just signed a QB and will likely draft one, Cle is going to draft one. he went into FA 2 weeks late, let's not forget that.

I think it's good for him to not go in as the starter, to learn under a guy like Chip and get his career back on track. He won't be a backup for too long.

there were some reports that the Giants were intrested in him to.After seeing that I feel like he told his agent he wanted to still live in NY and Philly was the best option

he did want to stay here and would have re-worked his deal.

a bunch of teams were interested, Philly is very intriguing w/ all that talent. Obviously he is relying on an injury to play but injuries happen all the time.

    Can we close this thread?

Anything that's worth saying ( and related to the Jets ) can / should be said in the Sanchez appreciation thread or not at all.

He's not a Jet anymore, We have 2 other QBs to root for now, Move on.

Maybe but I think Philly is a good spot.

I am glad he is going to the NFC so he can't hurt us.

Good luck to Mark. Not sure if he signs with Chip Kelly he can function well in that high speed offense. He makes too many mistakes. But Chip coached against him in college and is fan of his. So maybe in new surroundings and new system Mark could do alright. IMO Mark is strictly a ground and pound Qb. His only success with the Jets was in a contained run based offense. When Schotty opened it up for him in year 3 that's when he regressed. He's not a good fit for a WCO like the Jets or Chip's O. If he is no. 2 with the Eagles he most assuredly will play sometimes if Foles is hurt. And Foles is still not a proven starting NFL Qb. I thought the Rams would be the better choice for Sanchez but they just signed Shaun Hill.

problem is most of the time he didn't have it. turnovers and more turnovers and most off of bad decisions.

Can these be closed once Sanchez officially signs elsewhere?

Everyone is entrenched in their own beliefs and their opinions of Sanchez as a Jet will not change. The guy's time here is done.

Lets focus on the three QB's who are actually Jets.
