That is just bizarre. Kind of like how Led Zeppelin must have set some kind of record for naming songs after things that have nothing to do with anything in the lyrics.
From the NY Times review- “Collision Low Crossers” takes its title from the game’s esoteric terminology, which author Dawidoff came to know well. The Jets use the phrase to describe linebackers whose job it is to smash opposing receivers as they cross the field 5 yards from the line of scrimmage. Jets coaches also used “collision” as a verb — as in to “collision” a would-be pass catcher.
Well Eagles fans get ready for this: 1) Sanchez takes the snap 2) Sanchez slides back in the pocket. 3) Checks off the first receiver to the right 4) Sanchez throws to the left, INTERCEPTED its a pick 6

If it walks like a duck, talks like a duck, and has feathers like a duck, then by golly it is almost always a duck....
I never defend Sanchez, let me just preface that. However, I think it is unfair when people say he isn't a good QB or he sucks. More specifically, I think we are a society and fan base don't know the difference any longer between good, bad, and average. In fact, good is good and average becomes bad. I say this because I think Mark Sanchez is mediocre. I'm not disagreeing with a single point you're making JB, but I think the conclusion that many have--that Sanchez is a poor QB--is not quite right. As you noted, he has almost every quality you'd want in a QB to some degree or another EXCEPT being able to digest the plays quickly. Think of how many QBs are in the NFL or have come thru and not had Anywhere near that much going for them? Anyway, I just wonder if average is a concept that has gotten lost.
Its going to be kinda weird cheering for 2 teams next season. Ive never felt like a "fan" of any other team than the Jets, but I will be following the Eagles a lot, and I intend on watching every single game. Joy.
