You're trying to make people eat words that they aren't saying, and that is a weak version of debate. Revis looks great so far for a rookie, he has taken more on his plate than most current pro-bowl corners were ever asked to do as a rookie. Does he make rookie mistakes? Yes he does, and of course we will suffer for them whenever they happen. But he has skills required to take the next step if he has the mental wherewithall to take that step. Now, tell me where anybody on this board, besides you, has mentioned how Revis is 'can't miss talent' or that he will be going to 'pro bowl after pro bowl'? Quote it, because it is obviously words that you think you're going to make people eat.

It's less what you think than a direct result of your below-average reading comprehension. You were comparing him to Bailey and Samuel so I incorporated your comparison. Who cares about quoting you? Nothing you say ever sounds even remotely intelligent or credible. Of course it's not justified, and anybody who is expecting the trade-up to be justified in his rookie year doesn't have any idea what they are talking about. And if you're really asking who I'm talking about in the comparison, then I was right on target talking about your reading comprehension. Aside from Bailey, who was a day-one starter (like Revis), the rest of the guys you are saying Revis can't be compared to never started as rookies. Samuel, the guy has been injured a lot of his young career, but he was a rookie his contributions were far less than Revis at this point. I remember you calling Al Harris a SHUTDOWN corner in the Terrell Owens thread. How did Harris' career start? He sat on the Bucs' practice squad his entire rookie year. Please, name some more 'shutdown corners' who contributed as much as Revis at this point in his career against the opposing teams' starting wideouts. And tell me you knew they were going to be that good because it's fun to laugh at you.
if revis continues to play and improve he wil be a shut down corner...you dont need 2 shut down corners when the team has the holes they have on the lines....Id much rather see them spend the money there......especially when you see the money O-lineman get these days you cant take yourself out of those sweepstakes for another corner......I would put this way down on the Jet priority list
1.the trade up to get him was stupid. 2.many on this site including yourself defend revis as though he is the second coming. 3.revis started because he was thrust in this by injuries to other DB's. dyson miller. 4.who cares how other Db's careers started, how does this move in to the arena for justification for drafting him? or starting revis? these are different scenarios with different results. these players above revis are established, revis is not. if you feel the need for research go do it youself, there have been plenty 1st year corners play to their expected draft ratings. revis is no god. nobody can predict how the future will pan out for any player, including mangini, who drafted a DB when we needed so much else. it seems your argument went well off target, go smoke another bong.
I agree, the way he has played this season with our lack of pass rush has shown that he can hang with the big boys....especially TO. What happens when he is put on Moss in 2 weeks should be interesting...but he should improve alot over the years and once this pass rush gets better, I hope we can see him play like the"shutdown" corner that we all thought he could be when we drafted him

1. it doesnt take a genius to figure out after a 3-9 season up until now. which proves how much you know about football, we needed lines not DB's. 2. you seem to think he was the answer and reason for drafting him is better reasoning than mine, so he must be the second coming. 3.revis held out of camp,(a truly team like thing to do as a rookie) miller was uninjured and playing very well, and dyson was considered starter. revis was niether. go back and look at training camp. 4.i simply said he is no neon, bailey, or samuel. they are established and could play for many teams. revis is not of this calibur and may not pan out to be, and to consider him like these as of this point, is crazy. by saying he is, is even worse. there is my support and flimsy argument. show me obi wan, if you can? you must also live in the bunker?

You are angry that they didn't spend the pick on a lineman rather than Revis so you aren't going to give him a chance, you are going to bash him for not being someone else at a diferent position. no we traded away extra picks to go get that guy, we couldnt live without. that 2nd and 5th might have produced other needs. since mangini is a DB genius, maybe he could have made one of the other DB's in our draft into what revis is. maybe revis wouldnt be doing as you say "so wonderful" if he played for someone else. all this is speculation. what is fact, is we didnt get to address our real needs,which are obviously not DB related. i never said revis was nothing, just not our team savior. so by not looking at him un- objectively, like you say, i lack football knowledge. hardly the case. it seems you think he was our correct pick, and answer to our needs then?

This doesn't even make sense. The Mods will not ban someone just because a poster asks them too. If your posts don't break forum rules, you won't get banned, no matter how many people ask the Mods. And the Mods will find offensive posts, whether posters bring it to their attention or not (if they are doing their jobs, which they are). There is no such thing as hiding posts on a message board, so the idea of snitching is moronic. Basically your argument is not that you didn't make posts which broke forum rules (bannable offenses) or that your posts didn't break any rules, but that you got caught?
