I Don't think Brick sucks at all. I just got really excited when Bush didn't go #1 that we just may be the org that came out with the gem for once. Didn't happen,i'll move on. I was just ticked for a few mins right after we picked.

 

um, yeah because bam next year we are automatic contenders, if you look at the long term we'll know for sure if we need a QB by next years draft, if we do, their are quite possibly better QB's headed for that draft than were in this one

 

I agree with this. I'm not a huge D'Brick fan, and I felt like Jones deserved a shot, but this is a better pick than Leinart.

 

We need to stop making excuses for all the bad moves they make. They made the wrong move here. Yes D'brick will be a very good OT but they had Leinart fall to them gift wrapped. BAD move here, they could have gotten a OT later in the draft. Bad move here.

 

That's because Chow isn't the GM. He and Fisher wanted Leinart. GM has final say, and he wanted Young.

man some of your guys are morons. none of these qbs are sure fire qbs neworleans wanted three first round picks for bush that would of been insane to give up for him we need alot of holes to fill 1 runing back wasnt going to get our o line better our protect our own noodle armed qb

Excuse me if i was ranting a bit uncontrolable, but i still say it is the wrong pick. Because the love the Jets too much i will never stop rooting for them. but there is areason why they have the bad draft reputation. D'brick will be a great OT no doubt, but leinart came gift wrapped.

 

All the reports said Floyd Reese wanted Young, the coaches wanted Leinart. It's hard to believe Chow didn't want the one player in the draft who knows his offense as well as anybody, in favor of a guy who has question marks all over him on his ability to run a pro-style offense.

 

Google the term "NORTHEAST FOOTBALL" and you will understand why Matt Leinart was not the right pick.

 

We could have picked any position later in the draft, but couldn't get a LT as good as Ferguson later. We probably will get another tackle later.

 

There is a reason Leinart hasn't been taken yet get it.

Oakland also passed on him in favor of Huff.We will find aQb in the later rounds if we dont think the guys we have can do the job.WE WILL NOT FIND A LT later who is better than DABRICK.Quit crying, if you dont like it, jump off a bridge.

 

I cannot argue with anything that this front office has done so far. They picked a player that will anchor our line for the next ten years. They have their plan and they are going to stick to it. Our old regime would have given away our whole draft for Bush. It wouldn't have mattered that we went 1-15 next season. As long as we got the BIG headlines NOW. D'Brick might not have been the glamorous pick but mark my words, a couple years down the road your gonna love this guy. :wink:
