Rex is right. This team lost two of its biggest leaders and producers in Leon and Jenkins and we're still competing. Were you really expecting that much from this team this year?
Yo guy r u serious ? Have you not just watched the game, or the season for that matter ? Stop being a positive paulie and get your head out of your ass.
Can't do anything but laugh at this point. We have never tried harder to give away a win than today. far from beyond crying. I would rather this gutless team be 2-6 with a lack of talent because then I could at least enjoy the few bright points. A well-shared loss today, again finding new ways to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory. Its been a long time, since week 2, that our "elite D" has made THE stop required for a victory. Our offense is just a f-ing joke. Playcalling was quite good today-- no way an OC can account for 3 TO's and the key dropped passes that were there for the taking. We will finish the season strong after being eliminated from playoff contention-- just good enough to miss out on the draft choice that would really benefit us. Feel bad for Cotch, who is one of the few who had a error-less game. Sanchez with poor throws all through the first half, TJ with a dropped screen pass (not easy, but catchable) for a 1st down at least, if not a TD, instead of a FG. Both D.Harris and Scott out of position and slow to react to run lanes in 1st half that allowed MJD TDs. Leonhard dropped INT. Lowery burned for 3 and long conversion and PI penalty extending TD drives. Keller dropping 2 huge passes, one that could have put us in scoring position but ended up killing a drive. Rhodes being Rhodes, long-striding hi sway to a day late/ dollar short tackle after failing to prevent a crucial play. The list goes on. This one is on the players for the worst execution of available plays I've seen in a long time. HC takes on some of the blame for not having the team ready to play. Looking forward to the draft and mini-camp.
Exactly, and I blame that on lack of experience and preparation. At least give the guys a year to learn for crying out loud...we forget that it's a 1st year HEAD coach and 1st year QB. It'd be nice if they came in like seasoned veterans, but it just doesn't always work that way. If they're still sucking it up next year, then it might be a good time to start the whole "woe is me" speeches.
Why is there always a fucking excuse ? With a legend at QB we cant win 4th year hc we cant win, No injuries we cant win. Where have you been the last 10 years ?
Even when they were ahead in the fourth quarter, I said to myself don't get too comfortable, there's still time for them to lose. And that's a bad way for a Jet fan to feel. Another year, another great start with a crappy finish. Maybe Rex Ryan should call the season ticket holders and ask them for defense suggestions.
Defense doesn't give up a single first down the entire 2nd half, and then they just fold on the final drive just in time to lose the game....there's a phrase to describe this, it's on the tip of my tongue, just can't quite remember it...
yep..... i think even the most optimistic or level headed fans can admit this now. i wasn't convinced until this game. when you find different ways to lose every game....ugh. Rams like football
why don't you take your ball...as in, single testicle.....and go home. you bring nothing to this board except an annoying dose of downs syndrome.
Oo you really showed us! Coming on a message board to talk trash to a 4-5 football team that poses no immediate threat to your team's current status...except for the fact that your team LOST to this JOKE of a team just a few short weeks ago....But you really showed us, eh buddy?
turk you are preachin to the choir......i made an infamous call back in week 4 saying the jets were exposed in losing to the saints.... not a genius observation by any means at the time - just saw some things that i thoght may be a problem moving forward into the miami games and the 2nd half of the season. well this unfortunately could turn into one of the epic jet failures after starting at 3-0. the only game i feel confident about is the TB game in december. take heart - a 6-10 campaign will definitely keep johnson and tanny on their toes going into 2010. jil
i'm tired of making excuses for this team...i have been for years...and i'm not going to anymore...this team should be ashamed with themselves....screw this its a transition year bs....nobody was saying that going into the saints game...transition my ass....look at our losses and tell me its because its "transition." this team shit the bed in a new way every week and its just inexcusable. rex ryan better shift his approach and put some heat on his players... this is ridiculous...you want to change the culture? i'm alll for it...but you can't do that and SOJ it up all over the nfl at the same time.
This is what happens when you start to believe the hype. When this team was 3-0, everyone thought the Jets were the real deal. Now that we've gone 1-5, the reality is that this simply isn't a good football team. It's a 7-9/6-10 collection of guys and coaches that really haven't found an identity yet. I'm glad this season is over now. Why? Because now Ryan can drop the rah rah shit and take a good hard look at his personnel. The problem just might be that there are players here that don't have what it takes to win no matter what their resume might read. Ryan needs to cull the herd and rid the team of guys that can't play 60mins. Looking forward to Ryan 2.0 in 2010..
