How's your fantasy team doing? All you care about are fantasy #s so you must be pretty good. It must be nice not caring if your team wins or loses as long as your players put up big #s.
I laughed b/c that's what he does, he compiles a large % of his "great #s" in blowout games like that. It's awful quiet in here from the ARod lovers. Another stellar game w/ no hits and a HUGE error which gave Boston the lead but don't worry he'll "come through" tonight when we are up 7-1.
But of course you dis-credit him when he does good...But a bad series coming back from the flu and in you come...So typical. But of course you defend Torre on how he managed Wright/Proctor last night.
Error was changed to a hit and he did make a real nice play on Crisp in the 4th I believe. The team got 4 hits all together with 3 of them solo hr's. 6 of the batters had no hits tonight. Yep, its Arod's fault that they lost tonight and didnt sweep. I must have missed when he switched positions with Wright and walked Manny that started the rout. Did he also give up the 3 run HR??? Star Wars was on HBO and I was switching back and forth.
Was it? it shouldn't have been, it was a very makeable play. Please show me where I said it was all ARod's fault we lost? I said it was another stellar game by ARod w/ his error(whether they changed it or not is irrelevant as he should have been able to make the play w/ relative ease) and his Ofer. You are saying he did all he could to help us win last night? ok:drunk:
No one is trying to defend A-Rod in clutch situations. He has been lackluster. What not a single person here can understand is how someone can actually say they would take Scott Brosius over A-Rod. It's just hillarious, as we can see by the results in this thread.
Oooohhhhh so now you can understand it and your problem is i'd rather have brosius than ARod. I get it now:up:
I was going to leave this alone but it drives me nuts every time he struggles how Torre says "he's pressing too much" and here goes from today's Post: Full article: http://www.nypost.com/sports/yankee...yankees_george_king_and_michael_morrissey.htm Here's an article from yesterday's post: http://www.nypost.com/sports/yankee...imply_doesnt_have_it_yankees_joel_sherman.htm Here's a grat quote from another article: For the full article: http://www.boston.com/sports/nesn/w.../2006/06/12/clutch_of_the_argument/index.html (If you don't have a password to the post website go to http://www.bugmenot.com/ and type in the URL and it will give you a username and password)
I was at the game Sunday and man did he get booed. I really want the guy to do good. I wish he would start hitting when i matters, but he has really sucked. The guy is just as clutch as tony womack at this point.
 this is one of the most ridiculous headlines i've ever seen, and in sports journalism that's saying alot
ARod finally seeems to be snapping out of it. He had the big HR on Sat(I know he failed in the 8th but I'll give him a pass since he had the big HR earlier and is just snapping out of a big slump) and had another big hit yesterday until we blew it.
Before everyone gets all busy blowing each other lets see if he can perform against a team other than the Twins... not taking away from what he did in the series but we potentially have 2 more to go...
I've been a huge defender of A-Rod's during his entire NYY career, and I'm confident he'll perform just as well against the Angels as he has against the Twins. If he stinks it up though, I'll join the anti-Arod club.
