Sam Darnold is going to be great. He's been great from the very start too. I remember his Rose Bowl MVP performance as if it were yesterday was missing sports so bad went and re-watched it last night with me and my family popcorn and everything lol It was then and still is the greatest NCAA bowl game classic that I've ever experienced. And I remember the Vince Young Texas game too; but this one was better. (where San Darnold and my dude Saquan Barkley put on a show who I wanted if Darnold was off the board (however even ended up going And his Monday Nigh Career Opener @ Detroit too. My favorite Darnold game. Will never forget. First pass. Pick 6. Brett Favre esque. Thinking we'll watch that game on the Big Screen over the weekend. Became the youngest QB to ever start a season opener on that night. Showed all of New York his heart and courage and ability/talent during his first ever Jet/NFL game. Darnold has been great since day one however he's been drafted by a losing Franchise dating back to since after Namath of 1968. Darnold is greatness.
5 years from now, Sam Donald leads Steelers to second straight SB championship. Jets fans- Lawrence has potential
Hmm. He may get that much in free agency b/c other teams will recognize his talent. Let's hope the Jets have a much better roster at that point so that he is willing to take a team-friendly contract.
I don't think the Jets should pay Sam Donald a damn thing. I haven't heard his number called once this year. According to Google, the guy is a film editor. Looks like he edited a documentary about a 1969 football game*, and IT WASN'T EVEN A JETS GAME. In 1969!!!!!!!!!!! The Jets owe Sam Donald NOTHING. *"The Big Shootout: The Life and Times of 1969" is about a College game between Texas and Arkansas on 6 December, 1969. On that date, the defending Super Bowl champion New York Jets were crushing the Huston Oilers in the Astrodome, 34-26, on their way to winning the AL east.
It would be typical of the Jets to pass on a generational talent at qb with the first pick and trading it for more picks. I believe there are 25 teams in league that would take Lawrence with the first pick.
Question is, would the Jets ruin Trevor Lawrence with a lack of weapons on offense? It seems to be quite common that a lot of teams are striking gold on QBs in the later rounds, but then I see what the Cardinals did with drafting Kyler Murray and you just have to think....
It would be hard to pass on Trevor. He'll lead them to 3 straight NCAA Title games by the end of 2020. Watson was a stud for them and Lawrence is an animal for them. Sam will want a lot of $. Draft Trevor on a rookie contract with a Franchise LT already in place would be beautiful. I love Sam but this kid has a much better arm is more mobile and throws one hell of a deep ball.
He's never been the guy we hoped for. He has made these same mistakes for 3 years. You can blame coaching all you want, but this is him. This is who he has been since day one
I lost hope during the GHOST GAmE - my friend turned to me and said “ dude, he’s done no one can recover from this” he was right. It’s over
Darnold is a complete garbage, this franchise needs to move to Canada, might be able market this trash up their.
