I think you gotta give that tight end some credit too, I can't remember his name lol, but on those two pass plays he read the coverage and changed his route too. (not to mention catching the passes and breaking tackles)
Ryan Griffin. I thought he was a decent pickup for us this offseason. He was always a solid redzone threat for Houston a few years back, but I think he had concussion problems or just couldn't stay on the field.
I have a few friends who just don't think Darnold is the guy. One being a Jets fan and 2 being Giants fans. I just laugh at how foolish they sound when they say, "Oh Sam turns the ball over too much (like he did at USC)" or "He hasn't shown anything that makes you say he is the guy". They were awfully quiet this past Sunday. Guys like Romo, Baldinger, Orlovsky, and others praise this kid for just having the IT factor. Steve Young on TMKS yesterday said something along the lines of "the game just looks easy and natural for Sam". Yeah, go disagree with 3 or 4 of the best at breaking down the game - I'm sure you're right over those guys who did this for a living.
Maybe this deserves its own thread... Darnold, AFC offensive player of the week. https://www.newyorkjets.com/news/sam-darnold-named-afc-offensive-player-of-the-week Atta boy, Sam...
