And through all of this, Joe Douglas is sitting, and banking on Luke Falk being serviceable.... I'm starting to think Joe Douglas doesn't mind tanking. He knows we aren't going anywhere this year, we get a better draft pick out of the deal, and if things implode the way they are trending towards, I would think there will be a lot of "leaks" and finger pointing coming to florham park, and thus an excuse to make changes.

Joe and Gase are friends, but when you have a failing organization and all the heat coming your way, you're going to try to deflect the blame elsewhere.

Clearly the Jets assumed Sam would be back for Week 5. That has been the goal since he was diagnosed and it seemed like a real possibility until an hour ago. Seimian's injury put the Jets in a bad spot. Not sure who you would want him to sign to step right in and start. Sometimes you are dealt a bad hand. That has been the Jets so far this season. If Sam and Mosley can return next week, things may start to change. I still think they will.

Assuming Sam would start, was a bad decision. I understand they saw Sam light it up in practice and look lively, but even if mono is subsiding, his spleen is the issue. Seimian's injury was bad, but that happened weeks ago. There are a few QB's, who have won in the NFL that should have been signed (Brock Osweiler, Josh Johnson). Luke Falk looks out of his element, paired with bad o-line and bad calls, does not help.

True but i was referring to the PR philosophy on a larger scale..all the way up to the top.CJ said himself at the end of last season that talent wasnt the problem.Couldnt be more insulting
