    Thats why its known as a learning process and a give and take.

    If you're going to blame Gase then you have to blame Darnold for not speaking up. But its more than that. Sam had to learn the offense before he can know what he likes or doesn't like. Just as Gase had to learn Sams strengths.

    And remember, Sam is a 2nd year QB. There wasn't a lot of tape, a library of games to look back on and game plan off of. Cant forget that mono also got in the way of his practice time and progress in getting the offense down. He wasn't even in the building for weeks on end.

    All in all I think we may have over estimated how smooth and easy a transition it would be.
