my guy, JD signed 4 new OL and drafted two. Stop making excuses for Sams sucky play for a 3rd year QB. he isnt the only player with OL issues.
I’ve posted this before but it really provides a thorough understanding on how the Jets view quarterback development. Unfortunately not much has changed since the video was originally posted back around the time of the Sanchez pick.
LOL, We must be watching a different game last night. How many times did Sam get sacked or pressured? Fine lets put Flacco in. I'm not knocking JD, but that line looks no different from the results of last year. Running plays are certainly not their forte.
Flaccos a hack at this point dude. Look at how he did with Denver last year. He's on his third team in three years. I'd hope the guy that fans have anointed as the FQB looks better than Flacco. Idunno man. I respect your opinion. And there was definitely pressure but we were blitzed pretty much all night. Some guys were getting beat but beyond Ballage busts (3 by my count - Sam scored on the first one) there weren't really any major busted assignments. Van Roten whiffed terribly and just moved on to block someone else. That was awful and he's been a major disappointment. The running game blocking is bad but as soon as Gore can't hit the hole the play is designed for, he's dead in the water for a loss. He needs to be put on the bench and he can block on 3rd downs. It's useless feeding him the ball at this point.
I dont think the line did last year bad but it was close. Maybe your right that they did better then it looked. We were on 2nd and 3rd string tackles and the line gave up 6 sacks. But two of them were on Sam and Ballage was clueless, so ya blame him for a few sacks. Once Sam was body slammed he wasn't quite the same. Every time the camera shows Flacco he looks pouty and angry like he is pissed about being here. It also feels like him and Sam hate each other. He is no mentor that's for sure. Like everywhere else it just feels like there is animosity between them. I cant fault Gore too much. He was probably the best RB out there for us last night. That itself is sad. Basically add RB to our list of needs.
The only relevant question is "which of those QBs have spent their entire careers playing for coaches/a team as bad as the Jets?" and then "is he better/worse than them?" *hint* no team is as bad as the Jets
This lol. People act like every other team has a pro bowl offensive line and Randy Moss and Jerry Rice at WR.
Van Roten was beaten like a drum bad. Hes been terrible so far. Edoga is so bad they rather play Becton hurt. Think the run blocking has been good but we dont play a RB to hit the holes right. Gore is there for 3 to 4 yard gains. Ballage has been bad in pass pro. Throw Perine some touches at least.
