I know this troll isn't as jacked as you are (that silly green man must have read all the health warnings about steroid use) but it was the best I could find. You'll notice he does have a freakishly large HGH head, so he's at least akin to you in that sense.
Gustoon just started a thread about Sounds from the Game Week 2. In it, a couple of Steelers players are heard saying, "I know a lot of people don't like us, I don't care. I know a lot of people don't like me, I don't care. But you know what? We're gonna play some football today." These boys and Rex Ryan can keep doing what their doing in my book. If they play their hearts out week in and week out, and our defense hit all 16 teams in the mouth in the process, I could give a shit if we go 8-8.
I think we are missing the point here guy's, he is not saying that we should be happy about taking our lumps or not playing hard, he is saying we could do it with professionalism and dignity, we don't need to talk, we are becoming so dominant so fast that we do not need to say a word, because teams already see what they are in for after only 2 games into the season... We need not remind everyone we need to be respected every time the media asks us a question. Next thing you know the Jets players will be signaling Crypt and Blood signs on the sidelines after a big play. And do we need our coach calling out the Niners, "too bad we don't play them" after they file tampering charges? What is that?
He says he's a Steelers fan. yet he would rather Rothelsberger be on a different team. But I'm not buying it. he started coming around when Ryan was in it with Cramming Chowder, so you may be right. How bad would it be if he couldn't even fess up to being a Phins fan.
Not that it really makes a difference one way or another, but do people really hate this year's Jets? All of my friends who root for other teams seem to think that they are entertaining as hell. Herm Edwards was one of the nicest human beings in football. Eric Mangini is one of the most straight-laced. Look how far that got us. I'll take my chances with Rex Ryan stepping on a few toes, thank you very much.
Maybe we do. A lot of football is a mindset, if Rex didn't have the players believing they could beat New England so adamantly maybe they wouldn't have. It's just like Namath always says about his Super Bowl III guarantee, if you don't believe you can do it and have the confidence to say so, maybe you can't. It all starts in between the ears.
If we didn't do anything to deserve those charges then I have no problem at all with him calling them out.
Where the hell did you get this from? Because Kerry Rhodes says he wants to embarrass the Pats he's a gang member now?
You know what's the funniest shit about this article? I fucking HATED the Jets the last 5 weeks of last season. Fat man standing on sidelines, chewing gum, showing zero confidence in his own team and looking confused as all hell. Hated them. So shove it, hack writer! Thank God for the Mets, choking 2 seasons in a row, I might have taken it harder.
I honestly don't think we're going to be talking sh!t during Rex's entire tenure here as HC of the NYJ. I think a lot of this is meant to re-vive a franchise that has settled for mediocracy, both on offense and defense, as well as a jaded fan base who look forward to the doom-n-gloom. The only way you're going to wake everybody up and get this team going is to make some noise by installing a some confidence within the players, to the organization, to the fans. If we make a strong push this year and the league recognizes us for who we've become, I don't think players will be so quick to shoot off at the mouth anymore. Instead, teams will be looking to beat the Jets and they'll provide us with bulletin board material. I'm sure Rex Ryan will know what to do with that and respond. Like Bart Scott said, we just want to get the attention of the league and for teams to respect us. If people want to hate us because we talk loud and back it up, then we're probably doing something right.
Hahaha...love u avatar man...awesome! N I stopped reading that piece of junk about two lines into it...
I think if you are an "in your face" kinda fan/person (say for example if you like ripping other posters here for example, "just because") then you love the New Jets. Rex Ryan and Revis are GREAT entertainment, if you like that sort of thing. But if you are the humble type who prefers to let your actions speak for who you are, and don't feel comfortable just grabbing the microphone and shouting it out to a crowded room, a la Kanye West, then ... yeah, maybe you do feel a little uncomfortable. It's good if this attitude is motivating the play on the field, but otherwise, it's playing with fire. If this is not for real, or if it can't be sustained, then ... this 'tude is actually setting us up for ridicule later, not protecting us from it. Also this claim that this is the only way the Jets can get respect is ridiculous. Falcons and Ravens, even 49ers, are getting some respect too, for achieving much much less than we have -- specifically, keeping last years' 3rd and 5th rated offenses without a TD, and shutting down two of the five best WR in the league. Without their coaches and star players mouthing off. Heck we got plenty of respect last year after the Pats and Titans wins. So this "we don't get respect unless we're obnoxious about demanding it is ... old. (I know I'll get ripped by someone for saying this, but ... I've come to expect that I'll get ripped for saying anything here).
Hes talking about how they only won two games and stuff, but then again saying that they have become they team to hate in 2 games as well. This guy is a complete moron just like every other arrogant jerk off who works in the media. It def seems like this guy is a pats fan. Fuck em.
