If we had a capable QB to do so OK but we have the shitty Mark Brunell who hasn't been good in years and Kellen Clemens who as shown by last year in the relief role, look overmatched on the NFL level.
This loss is on REX RYAN. Got embarrassed last week, and played with no fire this week. The head coach makes the tough decisions. Take the playcalling away from Schotty, Bench Holmes, make a taco salad for Sanchez, whatever. This team played with no intensity. That said however, the D kept us in the game, but I think more bad play by Miami than good D from the Jets.
its been a problem for a long time, now its just pathetic why did schotty keep his job after his offense under mangini? get him the FUCK out
This team is what most thought it was at the start of the season a 9-7 or 10-6 team with an outside chance of making the playoffs - our record to date has had everyone convinced we were maybe something more than that but unless or until sanchez improves his playing a lot we are not going anywhere (last year was a fluke).
He should have pulled Sanchez at halftime and let Brunell play. I was calling for this to happen from the middle of the 2d quarter. You can blame the OC, blame the line, blame the receivers. But you cannot simply keep sending a failing QB out there. He should have sat Sanchez.
Agree (and I've been a Schotty apologist for a long time), but unfortunately, I don't see how this move can be made this late in the season.
Its easy promote Callahan. Playbook stays the same but the philosophy changes as well as the identity.
