I think he checked in on one play (after Enunwa fell on the ball and went off the field) that was a run. Other than that, I don't know.
I still cant belive Salas burned our secondary for a 71 yard td catch ,his first carrer td in 5 nfl seasons. Then Revis gets burned for 80 yards and a TD by some scrub
I could've sworn Salas scored for us a few years ago. The point still stands, though. Our secondary is prone to the deep ball. I mean Taylor can only throw deep balls and Buffalo's receivers are all fast, but after last week as well, we need to revamp our secondary. Though it's worth saying, outside of those two deep balls, Tyrod Taylor had like what, 60 yards?
Awesome game from Fitz, going into Buffalo and doing what he did. My favorite performance by a Jets QB since Favre torched the Cardinals.
Can't recall a better game from a Jets QB in a while. Decisive, accurate, and challenged all parts of the field successfully, even deep. It was a pleasure watching Fitz and the offense tonight
fitz played great tonight. the whole offense was on fire. the fumble was a bad break but otherwise it was a great game. defense not so much but fitz made the throws to keep us in the game. he did completely not see a couple wide open guys but still played well. our receivers were running wild out there. this offense is good right now and if they can keep it going jets might have a shot getting into the playoffs and doing well.
Those deep ball tds are game killers they just happen so fast.....We have had 3 in 2 games Bowles and Mac better figure out a solution to this.
lets also give it up to forte. how awesome is it to have a back like forte that can just find yards on any given down? im liking this jets team right now and think even after losing cincy we can get at least 3 through the first 6.
During the offseason I couldn't stress the importance of Fitzpatrick improving both his QB accuracy along with his average yards per pass attempt in order for higher efficiency. Last year he was near the bottom in both categories with a completion percentage of only 59.6% and only 6.9 yards per pass attempt. This year after two weeks he's at 62.3% and 8.1 yards per pass attempt. Small sample size but having another offseason of chemistry, continuity & familiarity looks to be benefiting Fitzpatrick as a QB and could pay dividends as the season goes on. I wanted to see Geno get a chance but I was wrong. Fitzpatrick gives us the best chance of winning with a win now type of team.
If he keeps this up over the next 4 games, he should have no problem finishing out the year like that. After the 6 game gauntlet our schedule turns to baby shit until the end of the year.
