I hope by some divine miracle Melvin Ingram falls to 16.

Overall, they are a top organization but let's not pretend they aren't mistake free. They released a bunch of good players after being 25MIL over the cap this year. If Tanny ever did that you would be lynching him repeatedly.

The Jets haven't had a bunch of good players to release and still have a Super Bowl contender since maybe 1968.

One of my problems with Tannenbaum is that he considers a season with no cap problems to be a success and he plans to have those. The cap has never won a Super Bowl, the players on the field win Super Bowls.

Those were mirages. In 1998 the Jets were a Super Bowl contender. In 2009 and 2010 they were just talented and lucky. They never had the goods to go to the Super Bowl either season. If they'd managed to keep Kris Jenkins healthy they might have but he was gone both seasons early on.

    That is just patently false.

Wow didnt know people disliked the site so much....

On another note, how is this Luke Kuechly kid? Bart most likely is a goner so we need a ILB. Is this kid worth a mid 1st round pick?

When all you have is a hammer every problem starts looking like a nail. All Tannenbaum has is his cap expertise.

Those were not mirages, one year you can call a fluke or mirage but not 2 straight especially after what we saw from the 9-7 Giants. You get hot at the right time like we were and anything can happen. We had chances to win both title games but failed but the team was a legit SB contender each season/

You're forgetting one thing. All a SB team needs to win is a little bit of luck and a little bit of talent. Look at the Giants this year.

We were most definitely SB contenders 2009 and 2010. We just couldn't pull it off.

The problem with Bleacher Report is that there's a lot of crap on there. You can't just say "Bleacher Report says this" because literally anyone can sign up and write articles for them. I know this because I wrote a lot of articles for them for a short time because that's more tangible to put on a resume than posting on a Jets message board.

There is some good stuff on there, but it gets buried by garbage. And that garbage is why a lot of people assume every article on there is automatically idiotic even though there are people on there who actually have intelligent viewpoints. The problem is they get less views than the crazy articles.

Coples is way too big to convert to OLB. Probably just our scouts doing their due diligence.

It could mean nothing, there's a Krispy Kreme only blocks from where Coples' Pro Day is being held.

    Mario Williams begs to differ.

In Rex’s system, OLBs need to versatile and tend to rush or line up as a DE a lot. Its like the saying Mario Williams couldnt play in Rex’s system because he’s too big. Coples is the best passrusher in this draft which is what we lack; Rex would find a ton of ways to use him.

To be fair they're equally, atrociously bad at covering all sports.
