He also made a lot of passes that no QB wants to make. I admire your optimism, but you seem to have a one way looking glass.
We will find out. One thing is for certain he will start next season no matter how negative you are. I see the talent and time will prove one of us right or wrong. You think I have a one way looking glass that is funny.
It can't be me proven wrong because I have never been in a hurry to claim Wilson was a success or a failure and never predicted he'd be either. Weren't you one of the guys last April making the same kind of predictions you are now? How'd that work out?
Life is good when you don't have an opinion and just go after everyone else's, this way you can never be wrong. Nope, I always knew Zach would struggle especially after Knapp died. He really had no chance Bad o-line , bad and inexperienced receivers, A new system for everyone, and a rookie play-caller. Zach had the kind of year that I expected to have. Went through some struggles, showed the great throws and potential he was drafted for, Showed great athletic ability and toughness and he grew through the season. He is exactly where I thought he be. He may not be a top 10 QB next season but he will be significantly better for have played and I predict he will be top 20 potentially top 15 statistically, depending on how the off-season goes.
Life can also be good when you've seen half a century of football and understand it takes more than one season to determine if any player, much less a quarterback, is going to show what he will become so you don't shoot from the hip with unwarranted irrational enthusiasm. Life is good if you haven't rushed your judgement to the point that you feel the need to make excuses for why your prediction was so far from reality. And life is particularly good if you keep your wits about you, learn from experience and don't repeat the same error every year.
