Umm...if I remember correctly, Adrian Jones started last year at RT and only moved to LT b/c Fabini got hurt and couldn't handle the load at LT. Thus, Jones is a RT really and we have 4 out of 5 OL members that are 25 and under with Brick, Mangold, Jones, and Moore so I'd say that's pretty solid for the future.

For sure Houston will get a lot more carries. He will probably be the #2 back. But I agree, with other posters...FO should have addressed this yesterday.

What slow defense are you talking about? Vilma, Hobson, Barton are all very fast-the defense is not what we should be worried about

Maybe you dont remember the Chiefs depth chart a couple years back-it went Priest then Blaylock and THEN Larry Johnson-everyones down on him because of a foot injury last year-guarantee he will be a 1000 yard rusher

I know I do. However, I do expect to see a lot of Houston this year as well.

i'm actually geniunely worried about the DE position, and i'mquite surprised that we didn't use a third rounder on that spot, especially over Eric Smith.

Crutis,Houston and Blaylock will get carries in that order. We need to figure out what we have in houston and blaylock this season. It would make no sense to cut either of these guys. We just dont have room for a RB. We can adress RB in next season draft. Rb can start from day 1

I am not worried and expect the jets to be around 10-15 in rushing yards next season

Curtis, Houston and Blaylock is plenty enough for next season. However, we were two picks away from DeAngelo Williams and I can't imagine passing up on him had we been given the chance.

That being said, Lendale White and Brian Calhoun were both available later on and we obviously weren't interest. Harsh, but true. Our RB's are fine.

How about a combination of Martin, Houston, Blaylock, and Askew.

The Patriots won the SB with Antoine Smith and Kevin Faulk.

If our O-line pans out(a big IF), we should be OK at the RB position for another year (of losing). Hopefully, next year we grab a premier tailback in the draft or FA.

curtsi might actually do very god next season. I know hes getting old but weve seen what he can do even though he is (1697 yds)

if he can even come close. Like if he finished the season with 1200 or more, i would be satisfied with him

When are we going to stop and let Curtis Martin amaze us, and start living and cherishing what he's doing? Why can't he be the first or the best performer, age wise, to ever to exist in the NFL?

It just bothers me, year after year, reading Jets fans predict Curtis downfall and not assert. Sure some day they will be accurate about it but then it would be too late to have enjoyed one of the best RB careers of all times because of the waiting to see him fall.

We should all be rooting and getting behind him, forget about the expertise everyone says they have, because NOBODY has got Martin right so far... NOBODY.

I think Blaylock will prove to be a very capable RB?He took advantage of his playing time in KC and he did a great job filling in for Holmes. Unfortunately, he got hurt last year.

Some of you guys are nutz!!!

    Peace out.

I think Washington is the best RB still available.

Jerome Harrison is till there and could be gotten with our second 4th rounder.

My 4th round would be Gabe Watson with our 1st pick to clug up the middle on defense and either Washington or Harrison with the 2nd pick. Washington might be gone by then.

    Name: DonTrell Moore
    School: New Mexico
    Class: 2006
    Height: 5'10"
    Weight: 212 lbs
    Speed: 4.64 (Combine)
    Position: RB
Scouting Report: DonTrell is a running back that has great vision, lateral movement and quickness. He is smart and understands how to read defenses. He understands situational football and knows how to help out his QB in blocking for the blitz and catching the ball out of the backfield. He has rebounded very well from a knee injury, but is still not back all the way. He has excellent mental toughness and is the type of player that leads by his actions on the field.

DonTrell is not a back with breakaway speed. This coupled with the level of competition that he faced will persuade scouts to downgrade him. The end result is someone will get a player in Round 2 or later with first round talent.

Also, the scouts will suggest that the level of competition he played against was weak. All of this is crap! Most of the time, these types of RB's are considered in the 2nd round. DonTrell will do anything and everything to get on the field and help his team win. He has a lot of talent to go along with excellent character, brains and heart.

As a freshman in 2002, Moore ran for 1,134 yards and 13 touchdowns. He topped those numbers a year later, running for 1,450 yards and 19 touchdowns. As a junior, his numbers were again very impressive. Despite missing time with an MCL injury and later an ACL injury, Moore finished the year with 1,091 yards and 15 touchdowns, and added 27 receptions and 198 yards through the air. He didn't show any ill effects of the knee injuries from the previous year as a senior, finishing the year with 1,298 yards and 14 touchdowns on the ground, and 371 yards and three touchdowns on 31 receptions. He attacks the line of scrimmage, and he will not go down easily. He keeps his feet moving and routinely drags defenders with him. His toughness is second to none.

DonTrell is a low risk pick. Even if he doesn't end up being an every down back, his cutting ability and receiving ability will allow him to find a role in the NFL.

The bolded sentence should tell you why I can see Tangini drafting this guy.
