Gaylock and Barslow, I do not have a problem with saying good bye too. Houston has potential. He needs to work hard to geet better this offseason, but he can add depth to the position. I do think we really need to pick up more of a "Go to" back in the draft or FA though. I still would like to see us get a Beattis type of back - a real punisher.

And yes to some of the other posts; another O lineman in the draft would be smart.

Hobson and Thomas from the outside got 14.5 sacks which is pretty good and I guarentee they improve even more in their 2nd year in the system.

That being said, we do need a RDE become Kimo is not working out as a starter here. As a reserve and team leader? Great, keep him around for another year or two, whatever he has left on his deal, but not as a starter. A pick I would like to see made is at 25 the Jets take Nebraska DE Adam Carriker (6'6, 295) as he has the size, speed and everything else you can ask for for a legit NFL starting DE who can play either the 3-4 or 4-3, like Shaun Ellis.

As for RB, we cannot go into next season with the same trio or two of the three same and stick with a Leon-Kevan or Leon-Cedric duo because if we do that our running game will struggle once again. So many people want to point out the yardage we got but if you take out 2 or 3 games when we played against weak run defenses that number comes down largely. As much as the yardage wants to make you believe it was a success, it was not. We NEED a legit NFL starting running back and we do not have one on the roster right now (unless of course you want to count Barlow but he proved NOTHING this season). Draft one in the 2nd round as there should be a few good ones aviable (Pittman & Irons) or go after Michael Turner, Clinton Portis, Juilus Jones or Thomas Jones. Ahman Green is a FA as well as a last resort type move.
