I'm just saying that overall, the run defense hasn't really been as bad as the average shows. Most plays they stop the run as well as they always have. If I'm going to give up a bunch of yardage on the ground I'd much rather give up three big runs (say 25 yards each) plus another 25 runs for 60 yards, instead of giving up 28 runs for 5 yards a pop. The average per carry is almost identical, but the time your Defense stays on the field, and the physical and psycological beating you take is much different. Playing 3 plays like garbage during the body of a game is an easier problem to fix, than simply getting the snot kicked out of you play after play because you're getting blown off the ball.
The run defense didn't kill us as much as Owen Wilson running uncovered down the seam for an easy TD. One missed coverage assignment killed our defense.
