Think the Jets are targeting Mayfield, so we effectively traded up to his #1 spot because he won’t go higher. This is the only scenario I can think of. So I think the target (or guarantee) is Mayfield and if Darnold or Rosen fall they will be selected.
Sigh No we don't. That's absurd! The Browns know that we didn't trade up to take Barkley. We traded up to take a QB.
Can you imagine the pitchfork and torch scene at camp if they pick Barkley with the 3rd pick and Mason Rudolph in round 3?
It would be a nightmare, which is why it's not happening. Rudolph is also not falling past the early 2nd round.

you can have your opinion for sure, but Allen is much more of a "mac" type of QB then mayfield. He likes big QBs with big arms.
Well I say he learned his lesson with Hack and goes 360degrees in opposite direction with a players player and emotional leader on the Wilson /Brees dimension..NFL radio had a breakdown of QBs and to many GMs BM has the "it" factor: they love it
