The way I interpret it isn't that Zach Wilson is mad at the Jets for benching him and refusing to play. I interpret it that his confidence is too shot and his self-doubt is too high to play. Too scared. Just the way I read it Either way, you can't play a QB who can't/doesn't want to play... Trevor Siemian time!
What’s even more Jetsy is having one of the bigger draft busts of all time telling the organization he doesn’t want to play for them in the middle of the season. Any organization with any sort of pride would cut him before the days over and worry about the money later.
The kid has a $35M guaranteed contract. How much of it can be voided if he refuses to play? 1/17th? If Woody can't realize his organization is in shambles, the League needs to step in and assign someone to run things. Zach isn't exactly showing leadership nor courage. In fact, he's solidifying the image of a spoiled brat and now you can add coward to that list of attributes.
It really shouldn't be a conversation or make the news. If Wilson doesn't want to play then he should be suspended without pay and you play the guy who wants to no debate needed here between Wilson and the Jets
unbelievable. as if we wronged him. he is the sole reason this whole 5 year rebuild has become an abject failure. now he wont play. give me a break. if we could use this to somehow terminate his contract and get out of his cap hit would be HUGE deal tho. hated this kid from the jump.
Woof, like many have said, can't say I blame him too much. He didn't play well but it definitely felt more like Saleh caved to pressure and made him the scapegoat than anything else. However, as we've seen over the last few weeks, he was wasn't our only issue on the offensive side of the ball this year. Any way you wanna slice it though, just an awful look for this franchise.
Yeah I think fans are going a bit overboard with this. If true it's likely more of a confidence thing then an outright refusal to play. he was benched for boyle and put behind simian and now after the 2 of them played they want zach back out there. it's really just mismanagement of the roster by the CS. I understand pulling him in that 1 game, but he should have started the next week. we should have never started boyle but it seemed like saleh either caved in to the media pressure or felt maybe we could get a spark either way it was the wrong decision and now all the fans seen it to. a small minority of us alreayd knew this but the vocal majority just didn't want to believe it
LOL media and fans wanted Boyle and Siemien and much to their surprise, it’s been worse ahahaha, if I was Zach I’d be done with this too. Have fun with Tim and Trev.
This is has gone WAY beyond SOJ. They are moving into territory that is uncharted on the scales of laughing stocks...
How can anyone honestly be ragging zach over this ???? Fuck this regime. I think zach sucks ass, but this experiment should have been over after jacksonville last year. This clown show is strictly on the regime and ownership. LMAO Good for zach to stick the middle finger up at the rest of them.
I have to up my game - came here to make a post about this but too slow. Man, this franchise is never at a loss for embarrasing moments. The questions is, who the hell even leaked this!??!!?
Whoa! I haven't even commented until now on this thread. My attitude regarding goofball posters is that they have every right to be dopey, but I don't call for their removal. The initial X-tweet is suspect but plenty of phony stuff gets posted every day. The NBC clip, however, does add some legitimacy for sure. That means it belongs here, even if you don't like the content.
