If that's true, he's even worse. As I try to tell my ex wife when she says our son walks all over her but she sees he doesn't do that to me: you're the parent. Your child shouldn't dictate the circumstances. I say the same about Saleh.
Fair.... I don't disagree. We're all spit ballin' here, trying to make sense of the mess that is the JETS. And like others have speculated, how many decisions /strings are pulled above his head?
Speaking of "conspiracy theories" though, I also actually believe that overlooked in all this yesterday was the most potentially concerning aspect of all. That being just how over-the-top and absolute "I love this kid" Rodgers made it a point to be when talking about and doing damage control on Zach Wilson. While then having to ponder on the scary question of would that umbrella of protection I'm pretty sure even conspiracy theorists and non-believers alike are in universal agreement exists and prevents Hackett from being fired this winter...actually end up extending to Zach too? I mean i want to believe there is just no way you can put him in that building next year. Just no freaking way. But I mean we were basically all in universal agreement on that last offseason too...and it still ended up happening. When you really break it down is this actually any different, or just a concern that ultimately gets rationalized away again leaning on the probability chances of seeing a repeat of Rodgers going down with a week 1 injury?
The difference between Sauce/Garrett/Breece/Bell and Zach is they can get away with questionable behavior because they're good players as opposed to bad ones.
Sure, Saleh mishandled this but 99% of the blame should go to Douglas for not providing him with any better options.
Next season is the first one on his contract where it wouldn't be more detrimental financially to cut him than to keep him since his cap hit and dead cap number are the same. So we'll see if this is true pretty easily... assuming they don't pull some funny business with his contract.
So the guy everyone is saying needs to be sent away ASAP, tells the Jets "Given how you've jerked me around I don't want to play for you", and he's Evil Incarnate. But guys who have become in integral part of their (hopefully) budding offense tell the Jets "Fuck this. I don't want to play here anymore", and that's okay? Gotcha.
