That's the one I was thinking of.....the wailing on here after the game you had to read to believe!

We'd won the game and you'd think Miller had raped Mother Theresa and not scored in the game!

I mean, I'm all for it unless it's gonna cost us the house. I wouldn't budge on anything untill the last minute...........force the Texans hand.

I believe Bush will be a franchise player. We need a new face to lead the Jets, and he could be it.

But, at the same time, our offensive line is just SO bad that I wonder how much good he or any offensive player can do behind it....

Indeed, I can't say I would like giving up our top 3 picks for one player....and believe me I would like a difference maker like bush on the team. The thought of what we could do with those picks to shore up our Oline or Defense makes me want to hold on to those picks, and if anything, trade down to get more of them...

    Our # Picks from 2000 to 2005

    2000 #4 - Peter Warrick, #29 - R.Jay Soward, #35 - John Engelbereger

    2001 #4 - Justin Smith, #29 - Ryan Pickett, #35 - Alge Crumpler

    2002 #4 - Mike Williams, #29 - Marc Columbo, #35 - Kalimba Edwards

    2003 #4 - Dewayne Robertson, #29 - Nick Barnett, #35 - Charles Tillman

    2004 #4 - Phillip Rivers, #29 Michael Jenkins, #35 - Igol Olshansky

    2005 #4 - Cedric Benson, #29 - Marlin Jackson, #35 - Reggie Brown

I am all for trying to get Bush. Nothing is guaranteed but all signs point to NFL Superstar.

He is as close to a sure thing coming out of the draft as you will find.

Anyone who downgrades him for not being a "Fulltime" back in college is either smoking crack or has a poster of Young, Cutler or Leinart over their bed.

He played against top level defenses. Knocked the crap out them and stayed extremely healthy. Then theres the "how many carries can he handle" knuckleheads. He will carry it when the call his number and the defenses will be sweating whenever he is on that field from DAY ONE. Does anyone take into account that he may be the best receiver in the draft also. No, not the best RB out the backfield, the best WR.

Now Ladies and Gentlemen of the Jury I ask you to check Exihibit A, the above listed draft history ...

Would you trade any combination of those guys for Barry, Emmitt or Marshall?

Only a QB or DL in my opinion would be worthy of a pick that high. I would NEVER move up for Reggie Bush. He might be great, but this is not the year you give up picks when you have needs.

Wasn't Curtis Martin and Terrel Davis drafted in the 5th and 6th Rounds?

Both teams have publicly said no.

DO YOU THINK THEY WOULD SAY YES!? Come on, get real. Casserly comes out and says, "Yes, I'm talking to the Jets about dealing the #1" and the Jets immediately change gears. His fanbase goes nuts, etc etc.

OK, so let's say the JETS come out and say they are trying to deal for #1.. IMMEDIATELY other teams know the asking price, or have a good idea, and can make a better deal.

"Smoke Screen" has to be the most overrated, and annoying phrase ever used when referring to the draft.

How deep is the draft this year? Is pick #35 first round value? If so, we would be giving up 3 first round value picks for one guy -- very Bad Idea --

For Bush the Jets should give #4, #29 and a 2nd rounder next season.

You would have a better chance of moving the Jets back to NYC then trade up. No way.

Trading up to get Bush would be the dumbest move that the new FO could make.

I think trading up for Bush would be one of the best moves a new FO could make. The fact is, we have a lot of holes in our team and it might be a couple years before we are competing for the playoffs again. If you bring in Bush, all of us fans would be so happy that we could get off the coach's back and let them get their system set up here.

Agreed. Remember, Bush if often compared to Gale Sayers and look how that turned out for the Bears. The man was a dynamo, but only for 4.5 years....

Sorry bud, but it only takes one play to shred a knee. Again, I'll point to Sayers. After a relatively injury-free and spectacular college career at Kansas, one hit (3 years later) put the former #4 draft pick on the sidelines.

Bush doesn't even need to carry the full load...he will get plenty of looks and touches in the slot.....mismatches all over the place
