On the positive side, we lose, Gase is sacked, Jags win, we draft Lawrence.

All I want to do, is look the johnson's straight In the eyes, just to tell them just how incapable and moronic they are within the football world of life.

I wish every fan had the ability to express just how fucking stupid they truly are, straight to their dumbass faces.

    Fucking morons. I swear.

Robert Saleh would be my choice as Coach, with either Zach Wilson/Justin Fields, start fresh, keep Flacco, get rid of the never was Darnold

Laughable. You made us suffer with Gase for fifteen games this season, don't give him a paid week off as a reward, make him finish the damn deal.

If they are going to do it, have one of the players call a timeout with like 3 minutes left, stop the game, and have security escort Gase off the field like a criminal into a room full of waiting savage Jets fans and make him sit there until Monday morning being viciously attacked verbally.

If thats the plan, I'm all for it.

If the Johnsons weren't morons I might give them the benefit of the doubt and say well they can't admit they're firing him regardless. Of course the Tweet says it's highly likely if they lose. It could still (in theory) be highly likely if they win lol

Agreed...this is like throwing down a (meaningless) gauntlet that can be easily overcome

Then do they keep him because he met this low level challenge? Ugh...typical Johnson move

He did manage to meet Chris Johnson no playoff mandate so there is that.

It’s just a rumor guys, journalist want click bait and they do whatever they can to get it. He is getting fired and a 3 game win streak is not going to do anything for him.

If he wins, do we think Johnson is going to forget how bad Jets have been under Gase?

They think this is a good move to save face and create a positive optic. It doesn't but at least they'll jump start the head coaching search ahead of the big bowls.

Not that I'm advocating for him but two teams have already reached out to Urban Meyer among other coaches.

We do. In 2021 make sure the stadium is as empty as it is right now. Too bad a majority of the fanbase will still gobble up that dumbass preseason video where it says, "I think that Todd Bowles is the real deal" and then buy season tickets.

thats been one of the worst things about 2020. Usually when the Jets suck statements are made with empty stadiums and/or booing them off the field.

That might depend on if Chris is calling the shots or Woody. Floating this 'mandate' almost seems like Chris's last gasp to try to find some excuse for keeping him.

Obviously if this is a win to save your job situation we have a problem much higher on the org chart than the HC or GM. There should be no chance at this point that Gase can save his job.

    Just a three year extension?

If he wins out, he should be given partial ownership of the team and the title of Vice President of Football Operations. Make him Douglas' boss. I mean, if he can beat a Cleveland team that's going out there with WR5 as their WR1 and then beat the worst Belichick-coached team since his days in Cleveland, then clearly he's the greatest football mind since Lombardi.

Clearly, we now all see the light. We now know what Christopher Johnson meant when he say that Gase was coaching to where football was going. It was all leading to this moment, an otherwise meaningless December game against Cleveland. We should have seen it folks. Anyone can win a Super Bowl. But going 3-13 after starting 0-13 takes the kind of football acumen that is rare to find in the sport.
