I know people here love Brick, but he's overpaid for his skill level. He's only a slightly above average pass blocker, and that includes all the help he gets (LG, RB and having Hartsock play over him at TE. As a run blocker he still sucks! He still tries to shield his guy and never takes the guy out. His man ALWAYS gets back into the play and helps make the tackle.
Woody got off to a bad start last year, whiffing blocks and doing his best Anthony Clemments impersonation.Perhaps he just start starts out slow. But then again he was recovering from a bad concussion last year.
Brick has made vast improvements since his rookie year, and was a pro-bowler last year. He was a top pass blocker in the league last season and has been improving as a run blocker every year. This D'Bust shit has got to stop
hahah :rofl::rofl: You clearly have no idea what you're talking about. The guy is one of, if not THE best pass blocker in the NFL. His run blocking is average -> above average, but nothing special.
He's a second year quarterback. Most of those guys who are going to be good, as Sanchez likely will be, take baby steps going from the "who! what! where!" rookie season to a slightly more under control second season. If the Jets OL is still topnotch then there's a chance that Sanchez turns it on this year. If there are some leaks, as seems likely at this point, then he's going to struggle and the Jets will be about where they were last year. I'm hoping the Jets make a late pickup at tailback once teams start cutting down to the final roster. I'm still completely unsold on Greene and Tomlinson as the answer for a rushing based attack and that's where the Jets are going to have to go this year to duplicate last season's surge.
