One mistake ruins a brilliant performance by Moose. Now the offense has to do something to bail him out. He doesn't deserve to lose this game.
no he doesnt.....this would be a terrible loss considering the way moose has pitched plus it would kill any good feeling of winning a couple ames lately since we would only have split against kc and drop back down to .500
Yeah. You really can't ask more from Moose, hell pretty much any pitcher, than what he gave today. And yeah, splitting with KC to fall back to .500 for the 22nd (I believe) time this season is unacceptable. If you can't beat up on the worst teams, you're not beating the playoff ones.
alio, the left fielder on arod's shot was pretending that he was under the ball and was gonna catch it....even though at first crack i thought for sure arod crushed it, i had a bit of a nervous hesitation. just thought i would deliver the finer points that the radio audiencec is missing
That's interesting actually. Sterling was absolutely certain it was gone from almost the instant ARod made contact. I was immediately like "Woooo!!!"
I can't understand Girardi's reasoning for burning through all of his catchers in one at-bat during a tie-game.
This team is right back to pissing me off. Unreal that they lost this game. I'm sickened with this crappy lineup. They cannot beat good teams. They can't even consistently beat the bad ones.
Slide? Really? Cano and Melky are both so annoying, no wonder they're best friends, neither of them have any baseball brains what so ever. Tough loss, but I don't blame them for getting shut down by Hochevar.
8 Ip and 2 runs from Rasner and Mussina and they lose both freaking games cuz our loaded lineup cant score against 2 freaking bums.
Another thing, Girardi is working my last nerve now. I've been very forgiving of his moves so far, but how many stupid mistakes is he going to make before he learns? Putting in Chad Moeller to pinch run for Jorge Posada was absolutely stupid, and came back to bite us in the ass. I thought I was tired of Torre's habit of sticking with guys who did the job in the past. Little did I realize how terrible the alternative could be. Just to paraphrase something Sterling said to close the game, this team is what it is, a .500 team.
no baseball sense is right. youd think melky might take a strike sincec the kid had just hit a guy to load the bases and the pressure was on....not melky. his boyfriend cano would have done the same thing.
