Let's see we have needs at OG, S, OLB, TE, QB, RB and WR. That means our next pick will likely be a DL because our board says so. The New York Jets New Creed: Insanity: doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.
fwiw. casserly was on with boomer and carton earlier. says jags take nassib and jets will take geno if he is there. after yesterday i have no idea how its going to fall, but idzick isnt reaching for anyone so geno could be the pick
I don't want a QB either but you really can't understand why someone would want that? We don't exactly have Tom Brady at the helm bro..
I think this board would probably erupt in anger, but if Cyprein was there, I would take him. If they're set on going offense, Ertz could be a nice pickup
Especially after the somewhat surprising picks last night, I really can't wait to see what direction they go in today... Certainly lots of options at RB, WR and TE... Curious if they'll take Nassib if available
I'm hoping we take Larry Worford in the second. Other options: 1. Menelik Watson 2. Damontre Moore 3, John Cyprien (I'm hoping we take a risk on Bacarri Rambo in the mid rounds) 4. Gio Bernard 5. Zack Ertz (would be higher but I want Kelce) I do NOT want to take a QB, unless Zac Dysert can be had in the late rounds. EDIT: After lurking on this board for years, this is my first post. Weird.
Alot of good players left at multiple positions.. QB: Geno/Nassib- Geno would be a steal at this stage while Nassib is the perfect fit in WCO RB: Lacy/Bernard/Michael- Bernard could take precedent solely based on play making ability. Lacy scares me due to the O-line he ran behind in college. WR: Allen/Hunter- Both would offer good value & upside. TE:Ertz/ Escobar- TE is a huge glaring need. No way Jets can go into this season w/ Cumberland & Hayden Smith. Prefer Escobar who has better size & hands. OL: Warford/Winters/Armstead- Armstead is intriguing b/c he has first round LT ability could likely start early at guard & eventually take over at LT. He's got ideal skills for the WCO OLB/Pass rusher: Moore/Carradine/Hunt/Washington/Collins- Lots of options. Hard to tell who might be a fit at this point given the Richardson pick & the talk of moving to a 4-3 base. Conventional LB: Brown/T'eo- Both offer prime value & maybe multi-scheme fits in Rex's scheme. Safety-Cyprien: He's the only safety left that is worth a high 2nd rounder. Still alot of solid prospects left..but their value doesn't kick in again till 3rd round.
We need a good route runner/pass catcher. We have d!ck on a stick right now. If we get Ivory with 5th, then 2,3,4 I'd rather see a TE and WR than a G in there. Id assume one of these 3 will be some sort of pass rusher or safety
We'd better draft some more defense and a kicker, because our offense isn't going to score any points. We're going to need to win games 3-0. On a more serious note, I hope we get a QB in round 2 or 3.
What about trading our pick if Geno etc is still on the board? I'd be delighted if we managed to trade our 2nd rounder for a 2014 1st rounder and a mid rounder in this draft or whatever good compensation. That would put us in a fantastic position to make huge moves in what is supposed to be a stacked draft next season while adding another pick mid round.
Terrance Williams WR Or Zach Ertz TE Demontre Moore wouldn't suck either but at this point O is the need
