I don't like Martin much either. To me, he'll live or die as a pure finesse LT. I agree that Silatolu is probably high on our radar, and rightfully so.
This. We really should get one of the major 1st round talents that slipped to the second round. I'll be happy with out draft if we get Martin, Cordy Glenn, Bobby Massie, Stephen Hill, Alshon Jeffrey, Branch and especially upshaw. I'd even take Coby Fleener if he was still on the board but they really better go after needs with these next two picks
Our needs for the 2nd are: WR, OL, RB, LB or S Since Doug Martin and David Wilson were both picked in the 1st that doesn't leave too many options for us in round 2. As for safety, Harrison smith went in the first and I don't really see any 2nd round talent safeties after him. Our best use of the pick would be to probably go either WR, as we really don't have a No.2 deep threat receiver; or we could go RT as talent like Johnathan Martin, Mike Adams, Massie...etc are still on the board and likely we could get one of them. If Courtney Upshaw continues to fall than taking him as an OLB would be a great addition to our pass-rush. Oh and for WR's I would be hoping we could get Alshon Jeffery, but he will probably get taken earlier. If not him, Hill and Randle are both possibilities. How far do you think Upshaw will fall in the 2nd?
I would be happy with any of: Cordy Glenn, G/OT, Georgia Courtney Upshaw, DE/OLB, Alabama Stephen Hill, WR, Georgia Tech Andre Branch, DE, Clemson Lavonte David, OLB, Nebraska Amini Silatolu, G/OT, Midwestern State Vinny Curry, DE, Marshall Bobby Massie, OT, Ole Miss Mychal Kendricks, ILB, California Alshon Jeffery, WR, South Carolina Mitchell Schwartz OT, Cali Brandon Taylor S, LSU There is a lot of good players in this second round.
My top 3 would be Courtney Upshaw, Alshon Jeffery, and Cordy Glenn. I have a weird feeling jets will go for Lamar Miller..
