No way Douglas goes after these two unless they are bargains, and I don't see either of them coming here for pennies on the dollar when they probably will be signed for top dollar somewhere else.

I'm with those who say it's worthwhile to kick the tires on Smith, but not Gilmore. I think he'd have no interest in signing with the Jets even if we were offering more than anyone else, and I can't see JD offering an unhealthy 31-year old CB top money. Develop the young players. The Smith situation is a little different in that we just put Nasirildeen on IR, and Sherwood was injured, and I'm not sure how healthy he is. If it's true that Smith dogs it or isn't that fast, I can't see JD having any interest, however.
Great, he'll fill in for a couple of plays until his next injury, guy looks good but just can't stay healthy.

the staff was getting nowhere near Gilmore. In today’s presser, Saleh raved about Guidry who’s in essence 4th on the depth chart and shares time with MC…They really feel they have 4 GOOD corners right now.

I fault our GM for not getting the right set of vets for the OL...and we paid for that in weeks 1-3 while Wilson was immobile in pocket Now all of a sudden JDs master youth movement strategy paid off with a big win over Tenn and young Zach keeping it mobile going side to side directing traffic and making some awesome cross body throws on the money. Plus we have a young hungry defense playing with chips on their shoulders Why mess with that unless injuries force you to??
