Folks might say we shouldn’t spend the money, but I think it is great opportunity to snag a #1 corner. We have not had since Revis. With him we may have top 10 db room, which is super young. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I'm all for going after him. Similar to my take with Jaylon Smith though, he probably wants to play for a contender.
With Bryce Hall progressing the way he has, that could be a nice tandem Why'd they cut him, Billy's ego?
No way Douglas goes after these two unless they are bargains, and I don't see either of them coming here for pennies on the dollar when they probably will be signed for top dollar somewhere else.
No interest in Gilmore, but I do have extreme interest in Smith. Gilmore 31 years old, coming off a nasty injury. That guy wants to win, not play for us.
and by the way look at how vet Qbs have fared, Brissett...Dalton... the whole " We need a vet QB to be the b/u" is just leftover from the cavemen Heinicke says hello
I'm with those who say it's worthwhile to kick the tires on Smith, but not Gilmore. I think he'd have no interest in signing with the Jets even if we were offering more than anyone else, and I can't see JD offering an unhealthy 31-year old CB top money. Develop the young players. The Smith situation is a little different in that we just put Nasirildeen on IR, and Sherwood was injured, and I'm not sure how healthy he is. If it's true that Smith dogs it or isn't that fast, I can't see JD having any interest, however.
Great, he'll fill in for a couple of plays until his next injury, guy looks good but just can't stay healthy.
They were getting nothing, lol. Carolina actually makes a lot of sense, they are 3-1, and they believe that they are in playoff hunt…. Also they take on the contact… Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
the staff was getting nowhere near Gilmore. In today’s presser, Saleh raved about Guidry who’s in essence 4th on the depth chart and shares time with MC…They really feel they have 4 GOOD corners right now.
He will trip heading to the lockeroom after practice, pull a hamstring, and be on IR for the rest of the year
Joe Douglas probably not going to divert from the vision he sold us on not getting old vets over coaching and training the young rookies he brought us Still . I fault our GM for not getting the right set of vets for the OL...and we paid for that in weeks 1-3 while Wilson was immobile in pocket Now all of a sudden JDs master youth movement strategy paid off with a big win over Tenn and young Zach keeping it mobile going side to side directing traffic and making some awesome cross body throws on the money. Plus we have a young hungry defense playing with chips on their shoulders Why mess with that unless injuries force you to??
