Yeah it’s ridiculous stuff. Go into the year thinking you have 5 solid, if not spectacular WR, solid depth. Mims doesn’t play, Crowder is hurt and got Covid and Cole is buried on the bench behind Braxton Berrios. Fuck me.
thats just wrong on so many levels. The reality is crowder was overpaid at a time we need WRs badly. now he was expendable it was late in the offseason and most teams weren't looking to add expensive guys. crowder wouldn't have gotten much on the open market and he knew it. that's why he agreed to the pay cut as far as motivation guys he's on a contract year. what he does this season determines his value in the offseason as a free agent. missing games will cost him millions. he's hurt. there is no conspiracy.
Davis and Neasman back practicing. I don't think they have been activated yet. Hopefully, they will be ready for Sunday. https://www.newyorkjets.com/news/jets-s-ashtyn-davis-s-sharrod-neasman-return-to-practice
I missed that, what has happened to Maye? Fuck me, can this season get any worse? Don't answer that tbh
Ankle injury 3 to 4 weeks. Did you also hear about the Jeff Smith car crash on the way to practice today. You can't make this sh-t up. Then add in Moore is still in concussion protocol and Crowder is not getting better very fast.
6 potential defensive starters injured although with the way Huff has played this year I would make it 5 as Curry was not going to play over him. 4 potential offensive starters injured. One punter injured. So that is 10 of 24 starters injured.
kick these tires, no? https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id...lease-former-pro-bowl-linebacker-jaylon-smith
Absolutely. The guy is a stud ILB. Surprised by this move. I guess the Cowboys are crowded at the position and looking to save on cap. Solid player.
I’m reading that the Cowboys tried to trade him but his contract was fully guaranteed for 22 which caused teams to hold off. JD should absolutely kick the tires on Smith. He’d fit this system like a glove and he’s only 26.
Dallas I believe has offset language in contract, and he’s already got a lot of guarantees this season from them. They just didn’t want to risk injury, which would have guaranteed his 2022 money. Add it all up and it’s a good player we can get for cheap on a short term. Definitely kick tires. Even JD would have to act on this no?
I would think so. We've still got 6M or so in cap space so I'd be willing to offer him a 1yr/1-2M deal and see what happens. I'm not sure he'd want to come here though as I imagine he'd try to hold out for a contender to make an offer but we'll see. I'm assuming he'll get snatched up fairly quickly.
How bout Gilmore? Think we have interest? He is still fairly young, could be good veteran add, he is pro bowler, good mentor to young room. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
